Requested move
[edit]This move request was badly formatted, essentially because you used the full URL rather than just the wikipedia page title (i.e. you used http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:GDBarry/Iain_Pattinson instead of just User:GDBarry/Iain Pattinson). I suspect you were trying to move your new article (User:GDBarry/Iain Pattinson) to main space and in that case a requested move is the wrong process anyway. According to Wikipedia:Requested moves#Processes beyond the scope of this page you should instead add {{subst:AFC submission/submit}} to the top of the article and allow the Articles for creation process to take place. I have now added that tag to your article. Dpmuk (talk) 21:32, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 6
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Times Radio, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page DAB (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

ANI report
[edit]Hi. Let me break it down for you. Accusations (say, of harassment) on Wikipedia must always be backed up with evidence in the form of diffs. Otherwise, the accusation itself becomes an aspersion. If you demonstrate that harassment has taken place, appropriate measures will be taken of a swift and decisive nature. If, however, you fail to demonstrate this, you may be admonished or even sanctioned. Please bear that in mind as you move toward resolution to your dispute. El_C 14:59, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- El_C: OK, I'll try to put something together. The behaviour on the ANI page itself has compounded the issue. That's the problem as far as I'm concerned - there seems to be no way of logging a complaint without making it worse. But thanks for your help. GDBarry (talk) 15:07, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- GDBarry, you're still making accusations not backed up by evidence. Please stop doing that. El_C 15:17, 20 July 2020 (UTC)

[edit]On 14 August 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Iain Pattinson, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that it was said that BBC scriptwriter Iain Pattinson's "unique brilliance was his ability to combine the absurd with the plausible"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Iain Pattinson. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Iain Pattinson), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
