[edit]Sockpuppet investigation opened
[edit]You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/GAP220. Thank you.
Notification to you of this investigation was delayed due to a failure on my part. I apologize for that delay. In the intervening time you have engaged in conversation on my talk page. Thank you for engaging in conversation. It is my hope that your use of two accounts was just a misunderstanding of Wikipedia policies about the use of multiple accounts and was a legitimate desire to change your user name and that it was not just to avoid issues arising from your repeated entry of erroneous information in the African Methodist Episcopal Church article and the warnings I have placed on your user pages. — Makyen (talk) 18:34, 15 May 2014 (UTC); update link to my talk page to reflect spelling correction there. 18:44, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:36, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
Please address your comments to the content of the articles, and avoid disparaging other editors. See User talk:Makyen. Name calling will not help your cause, and will only hurt your reputation. Further similar conduct will get you blocked from editing. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 19:37, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at African Methodist Episcopal Church. You appear to be continuing to make almost identical changes as you have been making under GAP220. — Makyen (talk) 02:01, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did to African Methodist Episcopal Church, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. The membership statistics, for instance, that were in the article before your change agree to the cited source. —C.Fred (talk) 20:08, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at African Methodist Episcopal Church, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. — Makyen (talk) 20:08, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
If you want the changes you are making to African Methodist Episcopal Church to be in the article, plase provide a reliable source which confirms the numbers you are using and the statement about President Obama. — Makyen (talk) 20:13, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello, GAP1220. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article African Methodist Episcopal Church, you may have a conflict of interest.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 09:01, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
