Nella rose being british

County Dublin

@GAAEditorIE Has the consensus changed that Dublin is no longer a county? The county as an administrative region has been split since the 90's, but as a traditional Irish county, it remains. I could see the change of tense being reverted. Cashew.wheel (talk) 13:51, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No I don’t believe the consensus has changed, but it’s factually not a county. I am happy for a rewording but the facts must prevail. The current wording highlights that it is not a county but still described as one. I wanted to avoid the term “ceremonial county” as it’s a British term. As an administrative county you're correct, but from a geographic (see Tailte Éireann (OSI)), postal (An Post), sporting and cultural perspective, the county remains. Cashew.wheel (talk) 09:45, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
