Your VandalProof Application
[edit]Dear Fyver528,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.1 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that for security reasons, VandalProof's creator requires it's users to have made 250 edits to articles, which you have not. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof.

Doesnt seem awfully logical when I have nearly 180 edits which are decent ones. Nevermind.
- Well, a month to the day, I'm reapplying. See how it goes.
Your recent Seychelles revert
[edit]Hi, thanks for reverting the link again; however, I submitted a reorganised set of links just before you reverted, so it was (I assume) inadvertently overwritten. Could you check and revert if applicable? dewet|✉ 14:54, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was the 3RR I was thinking of. But I'll revert it nonetheless. Sorry for the trouble ;) dewet|✉ 15:05, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to VandalProof!
[edit]Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Fyver528! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. Computerjoe's talk 18:11, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- Err... hmm... make sure you are logged into the WP in IE and go in VandalProof to File>Set Username and type yours! Computerjoe's talk 19:40, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- I dunno. Ask on the help pages at WP:VPRF. Computerjoe's talk 20:06, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
A sad day for the Atlantean Mafia
[edit]Hey, just noticed that the guy with the itchy legal finger was taken out to the shed. Sorry to see he held your talk page hostage for so long. Thanks again for all your vandal fighting. –Dicty (T/C) 14:48, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- Haha, yep. Shame his racist comments didn't get a mention too in the banning summary. Still, good to have him off my talk page :). Keep it up! Fyver528 14:53, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]The Parkinson's Disease page was not replaced with blank content as you have claimed. One only very recently added picture was deleted as it served no purpose. It was a picture of Stalevo tablets. There is no reason why a picture of the tablets of Stalevo should be there when no other pictures of tablets are. It appears to have been an attempt to promote Stalevo which is a recently introduced commercial product. To decsribe that as vandalism or to revert it therefore has no justification.

Dear 88.106.248.209;
The revert was not a personal attack on you. I performed it because:
- The picture of medication can consititue a fair example of medication that a sufferer might take (i.e. you don't have to include every medication that could be taken)
- You left no summary as to why you were removing the picture, this made it seem as if it were removed with no justification
- You did not leave a message in the discussion section on the page explaining why you might be removing the picture, so that other users could object to its removal
I hope this will not discourage you from contributing to wikipedia, and I encourage you to sign up with a username so that communications are easier (your IP address has changed from the one which made the revert). I will leave a copy of this on my userspace so that it may be easier for you to find.
If you do not understand this please leave another message and I'll post some further pointers for you
Cheers!

- I must point out that you are welcome to revert the edit, and discuss your reasoning in the discussion page because I am ofcourse capable of being wrong!

- Hello, you are correct, however you did not do it in the correct manner, and it is already on the page :).
i.e. using caps lock for whole sentences is bad, using too many exclemation marks, removing other content etc. Fyver528 16:29, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I reverted blanking vandalism, as explained in my edit summary. Why do you feel my reverting vandalism is itself vandalism? CovenantD 19:31, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- It doesn't give an issue number for his being acerbic or dead either, but those aren't constantly being removed. The vandalism is the removal of information about his homosexuality. I'd prefer if you did the revert to include that, since you wiped out my correction and I would have two reverts for this 24 hour period on an article that I watchlist. I'd rather preserve my reverts for legitimate reasons. Since you don't seem to edit the comics-related articles (based on your edit history), this would likely effect you less. CovenantD 19:43, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'd love to provide a reference, but I don't collect that comic book; I spend enough on them already, so I just skim through that line of titles at the stands :-) And no worries, I'm not taking it personally. I know that vandalism patrol is frought with difficulties. I hope this is the worst that you face today. CovenantD 19:50, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm. Seems like it's way past time for that one's meds. CovenantD 19:59, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
I probably made a mistake
[edit]I may have mistaken it for vandalism. Sorry. Anonymous__Anonymous 10:32, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Scottish English
[edit]Wikipedia:WikiProject Scotland wants to use {{User en-sc}} for Scottish English, and I have suggested they follow ISO code to use {{User en-gb-sct}} instead and allow en-sc instead for Seychellois English, per the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 having "sc" Seychelles and ISO 3166-1:GB#BS-only codes having "gb-sct" as Scotland, just like ISO 3166-1:US having "us-ca" for California and {{User en-us-ca}} for California English. Could you please take a look at Wikipedia:User categories for discussion#Scottish English and give your thoughts? Thanks! Taric25 16:25, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
