Box Office India budgets
Hey, as a general FYI, I don't know if you saw the discussion at WT:ICTF, but it recently came to our attention that Box Office India, in their film breakdowns where they list various monetary stats, apparently include print and advertising costs in "budget". This is not how the rest of the world does things, so if we can only find a BOI source for a film's budget, we should probably indicate that P&A is being included in the figure, and it would be preferable to get another source. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:49, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb: Thanks for the info. As for Judgementall Hai Kya, the budget mentioned here seems too high when this one only mentions 29 crores. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:54, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – August 2019
News and updates for administrators from the past month (July 2019).
Interface administrator changes
|
|
- Following a request for comment, the page Wikipedia:Office actions has been changed from a policy page to an information page.
- A request for comment (permalink) is in progress regarding the administrator inactivity policy.
- Editors may now use the template {{Ds/aware}} to indicate that they are aware that discretionary sanctions are in force for a topic area, so it is unnecessary to alert them.
- Following a research project on masking IP addresses, the Foundation is starting a new project to improve the privacy of IP editors. The result of this project may significantly change administrative and counter-vandalism workflows. The project is in the very early stages of discussions and there is no concrete plan yet. Admins and the broader community are encouraged to leave feedback on the talk page.
- The new page reviewer right is bundled with the admin tool set. Many admins regularly help out at Special:NewPagesFeed, but they may not be aware of improvements, changes, and new tools for the Curation system. Stay up to date by subscribing here to the NPP newsletter that appears every two months, and/or putting the reviewers' talk page on your watchlist.
Since the introduction of temporary user rights, it is becoming more usual to accord the New Page Reviewer right on a probationary period of 3 to 6 months in the first instance. This avoids rights removal for inactivity at a later stage and enables a review of their work before according the right on a permanent basis.
You really deserve it

Karimganj District
Karimganj City is the headquarters of Karimganj District, & you are saying that don't add any people in Karimganj District from Karimganj city. So you mean to say that Karimganj City is not in Karimganj District, totally poor thinking. So I just request you, before removing, go to the details correctly. Samygarcia (talk) 10:40, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Samygarcia: You don't seem to get it. People who are born, resident or stayed in a location need to be mentioned under "Notable peoples". You cannot add same people in both the city article and the district. Karimganj District is strictly for people who are not from the city. Get it? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:44, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
Again Karimganj District
So you mean to say, those who are born in Karimganj City, not born in Karimganj District but Karimganj City is the headquarters of Karimganj District.... Totally unbearable.... Samygarcia (talk) 10:49, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
Karimganj City
You removed MLA from North Karimganj, you said North Karimganj is not a part of Karimganj City, but for your kind information Karimganj North is a part of Karimganj City.... Samygarcia (talk) 10:52, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Samygarcia: This is the norm here, to avoid redundant information. People born in a village in Karimganj district would not feature in Karimganj city article and vice versa. Otherwise we would end up with a lot of entries. There is no reason adding redundant entries in both articles. See Sirsa and Sirsa district for example. If you think all those people in Karimganj district are from Karimganj city then add them in the city article and remove them from district article. Besides all of the recently added names by you are unsourced as far as their residence or place of birth is concerned. Winning from a constituency is not equal to being a resident. Compare S S Ahluwalia who won from Darjeeling but is not a resident. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:57, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
Reverted !
My edit on Sushma Swaraj (removed Category:Living people; added Category:2019 deaths) was reverted within 2 minutes. I am not able to find any valid reason, can you explain why you reverted ?--Mrutyunjaya Kar (talk) 01:57, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

Dev (Tamil actor)
Hey, thanks for talking to me about Asuraguru. Would you please give your opinion about deleting Dev (Tamil actor)? It would be greatly appreciated. There is this one user (Anu Krithika S.) who removed the proposed deletion template and seems to have a close connection with him. Thanks for your help! --DragoMynaa (Talk) 3:51, 8 August 2019
- @DragoMynaa: You are welcome sir. The only reliable mention this actor has is this in the article. I was not able to find much in the internet either, so WP:GNG applies. Although the actor has acted in multiple notable films, but it doesn't appear that he has a large fan base or has made any prolific contribution in the field. So it is a 2 vs 1 in favour of non-notability as per WP:ENT, but it needs to be discussed. I agree with you that a deletion discussion is necessary. I should also mention that there are a lot of other similar articles of actors from all Indian industries. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:06, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk: Okay. Thanks for your opinion. Just wanted to let you know that I created a deletion discussion for Dev that is linked to his Wikipedia page. --DragoMynaa (Talk) 16:34, 8 August 2019
- @DragoMynaa: Yeah I've seen that already. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:36, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
Shyam Singh Yadav
Please explain to me about Melbourne Olympics 2006. In which universe did they take place? Without having any knowledge you are just hell bent on editing a page. Even with a reference your editing skills are poor.
And the current important designations of an individual you have shifted to background. Why is that? So that someone opening his page does not come to know his present designations? The main highlight about an individual should be in the introduction. Details can be in the background. But you have shifted everything in the background with imaginary games mentioned in the introduction. Atleast all the designations can be in the side box. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Parthyadav04 (talk • contribs) 08:59, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Parthyadav04: Firstly, be CIVIL. You shouldn't be judging somebody else's edits when you don't know how to use a simple CS template. The mistake happened at the time of copy pasting. It has been corrected
- The lead should summarize contents that are detailed in the sections. So the details of him being a shooter and a coach has been moved to the section and a gist has been placed in the lead.
- You should check it again. His current "designation" is "Member of Parliament". The article has the style of a politician and thus being a treasurer of NRAI is not an important post to be put in the infobox. Not to mention, that information is quite old (2010).
- All of your edits are to this specific article. I sense Conflict of Interest here. Not to mention, you are displaying typical ownership behavior. Mind it. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:23, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
Karimganj Junction Railway Station
I request you to please correct the citation problem of the History section for Karimganj Junction Railway Station Samygarcia (talk) 08:40, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Samygarcia: I've removed the content since it was sourced form another 'Wiki' which will be invalid as per WP:UGC, but I've kept the images. Get a government source please if you are unable to find any secondary sources. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:40, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
DOB Pooja Batra
Why do you keep reverting the edits that I made on the DOB, despite providing multiple reliable sources, including Times of India - which is listed as a reliable source. EyeMD T|C 21:58, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
I suggest you review this policy before slapping templates on talk pages and reverting edits. As clearly stated on the edit summary, Saaho is dubbed in Tamil while shot natively in Telugu and Hindi. Your accusations of disruptive editing and vandalism are baseless. I've since made the necessary edits. Remember to clearly state your intentions of any reverts in the edit summary. Thanks. EelamStyleZ (talk) 04:03, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
- @EelamStyleZ: Not baseless since you didn't provide any source to support your change, besides, these need to have been discussed. See these long standing sources [1], [2] which mention "Tamil" to be a language shot concurrently with Hindi and Telugu. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:56, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
- Not to mention the NewsMinute source doesn't even mention Malayalam. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:13, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
Raj Kumar Goel Engineering College
Hello friend, I just wanted to check in with you and get your take on a point I made on the talk page of Raj Kumar Goel Engineering College (I think we briefly discussed the page before). At the moment I find the page to be mostly unsourced, the sources provided are of poor quality, and there is a clear bias on the part of the writer(s), using hyperbolic and non-objective language to tout the benefits of this institution. I've recommended streamlining the page, removing unnecessary sections, improving citations, etc., but I wanted to get your take on it first. What do you think? werewolf (talk) 04:05, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
Regarding Edits on Rajesh Khanna
Pls don't edit or remove any change which I did because this time I have edited the page according to the wikipedia and your guidlines like putting citations for every new link and not linking the names over n over again so therefore please respect my time I spent on the Article as I am a very big fan of Sir Rajesh Khanna. Thanks:) PrinceAnand2003 (talk) 18:51, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
Pls see it and respect the work which I did. PrinceAnand2003 (talk) 18:52, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
- @PrinceAnand2003: Thanks. You are still learning. Do not use capital 'Cinema'. It doesn't matter if you are a fan of Khanna. Unreliable sources and incorrect MOS will be removed or changes. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:21, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
- And do not delete sources which clearly explain the text. Your sources for 'record' were making the text an WP:OR. I've explained in the edit summaries. Do not change that without discussing with me. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:47, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
Mitchell Starc
Hello mate I am sorry for deleting part of the Mitchell Starc page I thought this information was false because I thought that it said ‘Fastest Ever Ball Bowled’ then it would be Shoaib Aktar.BUT it was referring to TEST MATCHES.Once again sorry for my accidental wrongdoing.
Thank You from your fellow Wikipedia user. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:3947:2A00:18D8:1A43:E0DE:52DE (talk) 11:00, 16 August 2019 (UTC)

Sock notices
Hi there, re: this, I can't remember if I've mentioned this before, but you're not required to notify suspected socks that they are under investigation. I personally have never seen the point in telling an as-yet-to-be-determined disruptive user that they are being scrutinised. Kind of tips them off unnecessarily. However, if you personally like doing this, then of course you are welcome to. Just sharing my perspective. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:33, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb: Thanks for the tip. I don't usually notify them but I sometimes click both checkboxes by mistake. That is, the one below "Request CheckUser evidence" when reporting using Twinkle. I've to be more cautious about that. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:32, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
You need to pay attention......
First off the Facebook post made by the Killer bees page was a repost from the company that does The Killer Bees website. It doesnt matter if the Killer Bees page is verified or not as the original post came from the company that that does their official website, so your reason for removing the refrence isn't vaild. Second this is from the official facebook page of the Bees "Welcome To The Official Facebook of The Killer Bees,"Jumping" Jim Brunzell & B. Brian Blair, Check out The Official Website at www.TheKillerBees.net", Brian Blair manages the page himself, just because Facebook hasnt given it a stupid check mark means nothing, Do some research like you should be doing and you will see that for yourself and Stop targeting IP's that are providing information that is verified information. This isn't the first time you have removed something provided by an IP that is verified information. 2601:805:8205:7E0A:A41F:ADDC:BE63:81E8 (talk) 15:37, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
- Go through WP:EL. Typically facebook pages are not allowed in the article body. And why are you hell bent on adding the FB page? I didn't delete the content, did I? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:42, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
- Because you continue to remove it saying the page isn't verified, the page in question that is ran by Brian Blair himself, which is shown right on the pages info, reposted the post that the Web design company that runs the killer bee official website posted about his retirement, hence your reasoning for removal of the page because it isn't verified is invalid as it was originally posted by the company that runs the killer bee official website. You continue to Target any IP that posts to that article among other articles and have several times removed vaild references posted by IPs. Which is typical on here, "well it's posted by an IP so I'm going to remove it with a bs reason because IPs are bad and Usernames are good" IPs have just as much of a right to post here and seeing as I've been posting as an IP for 5 years now and choose not to make a user name just for the sake of making one because I see no point in being part of the Clik I will continue to post as an IP, I'm not going anywhere so you can give up your witch hunt. Users like you are why so many IPs are afraid to post here and why so many IPs and users have stopped posting here on wiki because you think you own articles or like most users have an admin in your pocket to bail you out when you violate the rules yourself and then block IPs on BS violations. I'm not adding the post reference again not because your right but because I'm not giving you the satisfaction of suckering me into violating 3RR which you're clearly trying to do. Stop targeting IPs that post vaild references with your lame reasons that much like this have no merit and with a little research and inspection you can clearly see is vaild 100% and stick to removing those that vandalize wiki. 2601:805:8205:7E0A:3DB5:6125:30DE:190A (talk) 06:19, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
- If you are so interested in that FB page then kindly request Mr. Blair to get that verified. Besides, the fact that he retired in 2019 is already there. I don't understand what good an unverified FB page would bring to the article. I'm not prejudiced against IPs. If I remember it correctly, that Official Website of Killer Bees was posted by an IP or some new user. You should really go through WP:EL and WP:Independent. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:01, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
- For the love of God, IT WAS A REPOST FROM THE COMPANY THAT RUNS HIS WEBSITE. What part of that are you not getting, it doesn't matter if the bees page is verified or not when they are reposting something from the people who run his website and are linked on his website. Doesn't matter now anyways as there is now a video which was posted by the company that runs his site that gives the exact date not only in writing but also in voice at the beginning of the match that was uploaded to YouTube and was added to the website. You are prejudiced against IPs this isn't the first article you've done this Bs to me in the last 5 years and then when a user name posts the exact same reference or information you leave it with no issues. You see IP and you remove what they add without looking at the reference or doing a fact check. 2601:805:8205:7E0A:3DB5:6125:30DE:190A (talk) 08:57, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
- Social websites are not considered reliable. That's that. Atleast I'd pass a verified FB page, but many wouldn't. See WP:PW/RS for more info on how to identify pro-wrestling related reliable sources. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:00, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oh Yes because in 5 years of editing I've never read WP:PW/RS ::Rolls eyes::, there are exceptions which has been done MANY TIMES especially when the company that runs said persons site posts something that is then reposted or when the same post is made by the company of video of said retirement match which is also on said persons Official website that posts videos, pictures, where said person will be on which date, ETC. There has been many times that something has been referenced that wasn't from a verified account because they are reposting from another source. Its been done with Twitter and Facebook many times not just on wrestling articles. I guarantee if I was on the list of people that are part of the wrestling section with a user name you wouldn't have done a thing and this conversation would have never happened. 2601:805:8205:7E0A:901F:10F8:CFDB:D528 (talk) 09:43, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
- BTW WP:PW/RS still says nothing about Facebook or Twitter not being used ANYWHERE in the article on wrestling articles, it never has. I just reread it just to make sure I was still correct. So don't quote me that I need to visit an article when what you say it says still to this day isn't there. An Official source was used for the 1st reference, you added that more sources were needed, so then a source was used that is managed by the source of the article that reposted what a source that is linked to the official source and runs the person that the articles about website posted. Everything was referenced per WP:PW/RS as no where does it say Facebook posts cant be used and never has. Also The page you keep saying isnt verified is literally linked on the Official website and is listed as THE KILLER BEES OFFICIAL FACEBOOK PAGE and when you click it, it takes you to the page you keep saying isn't verified as official even though its literally linked on the Official website that lists all their appearances, sells their merchandise, and has all the information to contact them. 2601:805:8205:7E0A:901F:10F8:CFDB:D528 (talk) 10:16, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

About editing
I posted genuine link of reliable source but you ppl are reverting edits made by me everytime.you are showing that racial and caste arrogance is still alive in India and you people from general caste want to write truth in your own way.As you used to did in past you are playing same tactics to keep ,backwards always below your boots. You people are monopolising Wikipedia I believed now that casteism is still alive and you ppl are taking it on new levels Kuswaha (talk) 11:58, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Kuswaha: Put the links in the article talk page first and discuss what change you want. Secondly, caste articles need reliable sources from history books not news sources as per WP:HISTRS. If you continue to edit like that, you'll likely get blocked. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:59, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

- Castes like Kurmi, Koeri are heavily scrutinized and news article are only applicable when it comes to politics or present numbers. Even then, it is best to have relaibel books and secondary soures. News sources are primary and should not be used in caste articles. And stop assuming things about me. Do what I told, discuss in talk and wait for others to comeby and give their arguments. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:17, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

- As I said, raise the issue in the talk page and link reliable books. Modern news articles wouldn't be of much help in this scenario. And it takes time for changes in Wikipedia. It is not a blog you know - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:47, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

Red Fort
Rao Ravindra (talk) 11:46, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
I have written clearly that Red Fort is not the same as Lal Kot. What I have written is correct. Please advise me what consensus you need and what is wrong with the article as edited by me. I do not know how much history of Delhi and Red Fort you have studied. I live there and I have studied the history of Red Fort and what is stated in the article is not only factually correct but also backed by citations. If you think that any word stated in the article is factually incorrect, please point out specifically. You cannot revert an edit simply because it is long. When I sit down to edit an article, I do a thorough job which may appear as a long edit to someone ("that much change" as you wrote). - Ravindra Rao Rao Ravindra 11:42, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
And the article is about Red Fort, not Lal Kot. Red Fort is a medieval fort (in well-maintained condition) whereas Lal Kot is a separate ancient fort (now in ruins) 40km away. Please look up Wikipedia Mehrauli page.Rao Ravindra (talk) 11:46, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Rao Ravindra: As I said earlier, you need to discuss these changes in the talk page first. That's a long standing article, you can't change it all of a sudden. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:50, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Rao Ravindra: None of what you say stands when you delete properly cited information with sheer original research. I will not shy away to call such edits disruptive. And please refrain from using ad hominem in your replies. --Tamravidhir (talk) 17:19, 18 August 2019 (UTC)
Hindi is a dialect of Urdu
Sir, please add that Hindi was made from Urdu in the early 19th century. Under the psychological policy of 'dividing and ruling', the Hindi language came into existence by removing Urdu-Persian words from Urdu and replacing them with Sanskrit words.
The word Hindi is one of the old names of the Urdu. Mtbltwimtblttph (talk) 11:07, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Mtbltwimtblttph: Your edits are WP:UNSOURCED. Besides, even if you get a reliable source, you need to discuss in the talk page first. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:09, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- Why you deleted my edit now i have a source now that Hindi is originated from Urdu, source: See Mirza Khalil Ahmad Baig's book Ek Bhasa Jo Mustarad kar Di Gai ایک بھاشا جو مسترد کر دی گئی. - Mtbltwimtblttph (talk) 09:38, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Mtbltwimtblttph: I told you multiple times that having a source is not enough. You have to reach consensus at the article talk page. That is, you need to wait for other users to respond to your points that you put in the talk and reach a common ground on it. It is a sensitive issue. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:43, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
can i add that Hindi is a Dialect of Urdu now?
sir, can i add that Hindi is a dialect of Urdu now. because now i have a source and other respond from Waking Developer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mtbltwimtblttph (talk • contribs) 18:33, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Mtbltwimtblttph: No you cannot. And keep the discussion at Talk:Hindi. Regards. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 06:31, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
Loma (Jandaha) page
Hello friend, I hope you don't mind that I keep coming to you with these questions, but I respect your expertise and input on this type of topic, and I've found your decisions enlightening in the past. I was recently looking at the Loma (Jandaha) page and noticed that it is essentially completely unsourced. I have recommended removing almost all sections on the talk page, but perhaps deletion would be a more sensible option. What is your take on removing pages for villages (especially in India) which do not provide any valuable information apart from basic census data, which is all included in the infobox? Thanks! werewolf (talk) 14:17, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- Revirvlkodlaku No problem mate and thanks. I've removed some unsourced content are likely to turn out dubious. Things about administration, distance from other cities and demographics can be sourced I believe. I'm trying to find something on demographics. For the others, I'll 'cn' tag for now. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:51, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks Fylindfotberserk, I appreciate it. werewolf (talk) 00:53, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for copy-editing the Loma (Jandaha). I tagged the unsourced part. Lets see if we can find anything. On a different note, you like Werewolf isn't it? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 06:42, 20 August 2019 (UTC)

Call for Collaboration
Hi bro, I have nominated quite a few articles on WP:ITNC. The problem is they all need some sourcing work. Although Wikipedia does not have a deadline for improvement, The ITN candidates have a technical deadline based on the new entries, So if the limited slots of ITN RD are already occupied by recent entries, the older entries may not find a place. I can choose a few and work on them but that will lead to others lapsing. So some help here will be appreicated. Credits will be shared. regards. --DBigXrayᗙ 08:20, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
- DBigXray, Thanks for calling me. I'll check these articles after I complete my "watchlist run". Regards. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 08:34, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
- I've removed unsourced stuff from the "Early life" section of Mohammed Zahur Khayyam article. Added few sources and edited accordingly. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:18, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
Alka Yagnik
You clearly lack knowledge on the subject of Indian playback singing. Pl. stop edit warring with me. I have initiated discussion on her talk page. ANKMALI (talk) 02:47, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- @ANKMALI: And you clearly lack knowledge on how to edit Wikipedia. You first edit/deletion of sourced content without edit summary was a clear case of vandalism. After the first revert you should have initiated a discussionas per WP:BRD but you kept edit warring. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:01, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

Nice catch ?dumb ! @fylindfotberserk you judge other editors too quickly that too based on these other 2 pro Tamil editors
for which I warned Ripapart here. Instead of calming down as Cyphoidbomb has suggested, they make a counter warning against me now. That's pure Harassment, again!. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:31, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

Edit notice at Faizabad district
Hi Fylindfotberserk, I reverted a couple more 'Ayodhya' changes at Faizabad district. Seems like this may continue forever. In response, I've added an WP:EDITNOTICE to the article, in an attempt to at least forestall the good-faith changes by editors who are not aware of COMMONNAME. Could you please go to Faizabad district, click the Edit tab, and have a look at it, and give me your feedback below? Should we keep/delete/modify it? If unchanged, the edit notice will expire a year from today. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 02:52, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Mathglot: That's fine. Totally appreciate it. No need to change anything. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 05:01, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) User:Mathglot, thanks for doing this. We had already discussed such a scenario at WP:INDIA and the consensus was to use Edit notices when the rename madness becomes frequent enough.--DBigXrayᗙ 06:36, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

And Allahabad
Ditto for Allahabad, which iirc was the other main problem in this group of renames. Please view the edit notice for spelling, wording, and style, and let me know if corrections are needed. @DBigXray: Expires in one year. Mathglot (talk) 09:44, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
- Mathglot, the notice is well phrased and hopefully should do its work. I still believe we should make a mention of this in some way on the WT:INDIA page. To seek a wider feedback. Fy's page may not be the right place to discuss this. (You can move this thread or summarize it there). Thanks a lot for taking out time to add the edit notice. regards. --DBigXrayᗙ 09:50, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
