Feedback on preview
[edit]@EpochFail, Fuzheado: if we were able to post a text string to ORES for it to score, we could make a small gadget which would be activated when users pressed the "preview" button, providing instantaneous feedback for the current state of their article. What do you think? Helder 23:55, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- @He7d3r and EpochFail: That would be really slick! Also, do you know of the Wikipedia:Metadata_gadget which now reports back the manual assessment from the Talk page? It'd be nice if that could be modified to show both the manual and ORES score. I'm not as handy with JS hacking, so if you're more adept at it, you might be faster at this. Let me know. -- Fuzheado | Talk 00:40, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- +1 It turns out that we're already working on setting up a way to *send* datasources/features to ORES for scoring. The text of the page is one of those datasources you could send. See https://github.com/wiki-ai/ores/pull/115. :) I'll ping here again when we have something ready for testing. At the current workload, I'd estimate a couple of weeks. --EpochFail (talk • contribs) 18:19, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
