About the "Weapon Specific Tips" section, should it include items too? Hey Fuzzy, I edited a bit. And added the AG, Shotgun, and Pistol tips. And the Shenks ;) Started with the Flamer, too.

I don't think it is worth making video clips about this. I don't want to make you feel bad, but hardly ever a player will use this. Not all the players use the forums. You know how few users are aware of the search function. Those who will find the tips page, even if it is at a prominent spot at the forums, are the few players willing to learn, thus hardly need such detailed advice...

In short, it seems to me that those who need it will not find it, and the other way around.

An entertaining video about how nice some veterans play may be something else. Like a demo or teaser clip, with some cool music and such. To popularize the game a bit, or just for our fun. Are you into video editing?

Thanks for the input LightFoot :) I more or less agree with you about the clips and I do realize that almost no one will ever see this. Unless we advertise it! But more seriously, I'm thinking of putting together more of a reference guide, one that can be used bother by new and older players. Trying to collect up some of the Ancient Swarm Lore into one place :). As I'm sure you know, not all of the "old" players know "everything" about the game.

I originally started this guide with just the Etiquette and the BeggarsPoint tips sections. The first was inspired largely by Deonnix, if you've met him you know what I mean. The second was due to the fact that I've only ever seen BP completed once. On Easy of all things, too! In my opinion, that's just plain offensive. I'd like to see that map get beaten more often on the higher difficulties. At least once on Insane ;)

It would be neat to see a video of "how it's supposed to be done" game play. Have you ever seen the original trailer for Alien Swarm?[1] It wouldn't be too hard to do something like that, and it might be good for recruiting new players into the fold. Fuzzy Bunny 05:23, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
