License tagging for File:Thai Squiggle.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Thai Squiggle.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

Deletion pending for File:Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta.jpg
[edit]Hello, Furthershore. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.
- If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
- If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:41, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Patimokkha
[edit]Hey there! I saw you working on the Thai Forest Tradition and wanted to point you at the Patimokkha article. It got shoved into a weird name so it didn't get edited for years and years and it's literally just a tiny introduction and the actual list of rules rather than an article on the patimokkha itself (unlike the article on Prātimokṣa in general). Since you are aware of the Thammayut and Thai Forest Traditions, which value the patimokkha greatly, I thought you might have good sources or perhaps think the articles should be merged? Ogress smash! 18:51, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
[Introduction to Patimokkha Rules]- Just this source by Ajahn Geoff. One of the monks at Wat Metta is working on a reference guide, but I think it will only be helpful for monks. I'd say since the two articles are already separated out they should be kept that way. General Buddhism articles seem to suffer from a sort of "Theravada says Mahayana Says Theravada Says" sort of thing, and it muddies things for newcomers who don't understand the differences between Theravada and Mahayana. At least with the Patimokkha article there's an opportunity to make a well organized description of the Theravada view. I can help with this at some point if you'd like - it will be important to include things like the purpose of the rules and how they came about.

Orphaned non-free image File:Ajahn Lee Dhammadaro.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Ajahn Lee Dhammadaro.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 20:38, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed that you removed your comment and the answer of another editor from Talk:Buddhism. Please see WP:TALK for best practice, especially WP:REDACT: "Under some circumstances, you may entirely remove your comments. For example, if you accidentally posted a comment to the wrong page, and no one has replied to it yet (...)." JimRenge (talk) 19:31, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent editing history at Thanissaro Bhikkhu shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. File copyright problem with File:Thai Squiggle.png
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Thai Squiggle.png. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

The file File:Kromma Phraya Vajirayanavarorasa.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Also:
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 20 November 2019 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Novices on thudong.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Novices on thudong.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:14, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
