Adding reference to Wikipedia articles

[edit]
Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Hello Funnyjasband! Please do not forget to add references from reliable sources for the content you add to Wikipedia. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "templates",
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,

This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. You can read more about it on Help:Edit toolbar or see this video File:RefTools.ogv. thanks and regards --Mr T(Talk?) (New thread?) 10:38, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Abdullah

I can't find any other reliable source beyond Marquis WHo's WHo online. I don't know what you're trying to say.... I give it up. Since Mr.Yamaguchi's "The COmplete Thesaurus of Musical Scales" is wiidely used.... I wanted to add his info wiki. I am sure you're not a musician. So you don't need to worry about it.

Thank you very much for your comment. The text, "Masaya Yamaguchi is not only a musician but also a conceptualist who established his own system to explore the imaginative formation of musical scales by The Complete Thesaurus of Musical Scales, which is a meta-contribution to music pedagogy of a high standard. The concept is revealed in many of his writings and compositions." is used in Marquis Who's Who in America itself.... then, Masaya Yamaguchi used it in his own homepage. Therefore, I inserted the quotation mark so that we can evade from copyright issue. Thanks in advance! Funnyjasband (talk) 00:33, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I read (and I hope I understood the guideline) and rewrote the text. The lines are:

According to his profile in Marquis Who's Who in America, Masaya Yamaguchi has been engaged in a wide range of activities, having been a musician and an educator who established his conceptualistic system to explore the imaginative formation of musical scales by The Complete Thesaurus of Musical Scales.[4]

I am trying to say the same thing as Marquis Who’s Who in America, p.5130. Marquis Who's Who 59th Edition. 2005.

If OK, please bring it to Request review at WP:AFC.

Thanks in advance!
