Lois Cook (born November 14, 1984) (also known as Lois McNeil) is a professional football player. She played Quarterback for the Atlanta Leopards women's football team during her first year of undergraduate study at Clark Atlanta University. She currently plays for the DC Divas professional women's football team as a Wide Receiver.
Cook grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland and Bullock, North Carolina. For high school, she attended Bethesda Chevy Chase where she attempted to play JV Boys Football but was unable to join the roster.
Cook was a Communications student at Clark Atlanta University, where she earned an AA in Mass Media Arts. She deferred her full term to earn her BS in Psychology at University of Maryland in order to play football for the DC Divas.
Cook played for the Atlanta Leopards women's football team from 2002 to 2004 during her time at Clark Atlanta University. In 2003, at the end of her season, she was named Player of the Year by the Atlanta Leopards as a part of the National Women’s Football Association (NWFA).
In 2004, Cook joined the DC Divas, as a linebacker but fell short of playing the entire season.
Cook returned to the DC Divas in 2009 as a quarterback and wide receiver. On June 20th, during a regular season game against the Philadelphia Firebirds, Cook completed a screen pass for the first down before she faced a season-ending injury. Cook suffered a fractured tibia, fibula, and ankle. The team went on to the National Championship in Round Rock, Texas against Kansas City, ultimately losing the game 23-21.
