Regarding Waldensians

[edit]

With the exception of a few rare individuals, the Waldensians assert that they were started by Peter Waldo. No contemporary sources mention them until after Peter Waldo. Scholars with no agendas assert they started with Peter Waldo. Even many SDAs, Mennonites, Baptists (I'm one, and I could get most of my congregation to agree), and other protestants agree that they started with Peter Waldo. The only "scholars" who do assert an ancient origin for the Waldensians require no work to show that they are biased beyond use by a fundamentalist protestant agenda. To portray the Trail of Blood theory as anywhere near equal to modern scholarship would violate WP:UNDUE. Ian.thomson (talk) 15:55, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove information from articles, as you did to Authorized King James Version. Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed on the sole grounds of perceived offensiveness. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page to reach consensus rather than continuing to remove the disputed material. If the content in question involves images, you also have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide the images that you may find offensive. The information was sourced, not "an editor's opinion." Using the "do no censor" argument will not. That was a legitimate edit.

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:50, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
