DMOZ is not spam, and is certainly constructive. Why don't you join the discussion on the article if you feel it's unhelpful. It was suggested and I think it's a good idea. I just want to let you know that you only get one !vote in an AFD. That is, you can discuss all you want, but you only get to say keep in boldface once. Doing it multiple times makes you look like you're votestacking, which I know you're not trying to do. You might want to consider refactoring your comments by removing one of them.
