A welcome from Primate#101

Hi, Freely, Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello, bonjour, salut, privyet, konichiwa, shalom, hola, salve, sala'am, bonjourno, and hi! I'm Primate#101. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". We're glad to have you in our community! I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful. If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you. Here are a few links to get you started:
And remember:
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
    • P.S. I'm happy to help new users. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. :)

Happy Wiki-ing!

removing text

[edit]

Hi Freely,

Please don't remove text from Wikipedia articles or talk pages without explaining why you're doing so. You can use edit summaries, or you can post a comment on the talk page. Thanks, and happy editing. --Allen 09:15, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, explain yourself when you remove text. If you make a reasonable argument, people might agree with the changes you want to make. --Allen 00:13, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia does not allow editors to continually revert changes to articles without discussing them. I know that The Legacy Center is a controversial topic, and I expect it to be difficult to achieve an NPOV tone in the article. If you know something about the Legacy Center, you can help us by explaining your ideas for improving the article. But if you continue to revert without discussion, you may eventually be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Allen 16:28, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It is not okay to edit without being willing to take part in any discussion. You have repeatedly removed information from the article The Legacy Center as well as its talk page, but have not once responded to my concerns here, and have not once made any comment at all on Talk:The Legacy Center. --Allen 00:43, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Freely, I see from the history page for The Legacy Center that at one point you attempted to explain something, but were cut off because you tried to put it all in the edit summary. Thanks for trying, though. If you explain instead at Talk:The_Legacy_Center, you can write as much as you want without being cut off. --Allen 20:11, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You have now vandalised the Lifespring page at least three times, the most recent being today. Do not revert text/links that you disagree with without discussing it with others working on that page. You have made no comments, just taken out facts that you didn't like. I see now that you have done this on other pages, too. Please knock it off. Jeffpw 21:13, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to Lifespring, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Jeffpw 06:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC) (last warning)Jeffpw 06:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with this vandalism warning. While I don't agree with Freely's latest deletion, the user did use an edit summary that tried to explain his or her thinking. --Allen 13:12, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider discussing the removal of that section on the talk page. -- Steel 17:17, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
