Robert Keith Leavitt

[edit]

Hello, most kind of you to drop by and let me know you enjoyed the R. K. Leavitt piece. I'm distantly related to the gentleman, but thought he was a fascinating man. I've been aware of the Webster's book for some years now, and was anxious to write something about him. I also enjoy anything related to Sherlock Holmes, so there was another interest. I hope I did him justice. Are you also related? Thanks for your comments and best regards, MarmadukePercy (talk) 02:06, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I am related. He is my paternal grandfather! So I guess that means that you and I are distantly related... (Smiling.) You really are doing some amazing research. I noted that we had many common areas of interest. This seems to be a kind of public forum so if you feel comfortable enough please do write back to me at bleavitt748@yahoo.com. I do have some questions for you on those areas of interest and would love to have your insight. -Bill Frater618 (talk) 16:23, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Just now getting your message. I will definitely be writing you, as you're right, we are distantly related, and we do seem to have some of the same interests, although it may take me a couple of days to get back to you. Thank you again for your thoughts, and am glad you're happy the way the piece on your grandfather turned out. He was a remarkable man. Best regards, MarmadukePercy (talk) 07:32, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
