If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Prime Stage Theatre, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. E. Fokker (talk) 19:02, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of No Name Players, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.nonameplayers.org.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Theater in Pittsburgh

[edit]

Hi FrankG, Great idea to start that article. The following link will likely be extremely useful for expanding your article: Pittsburgh In Stages: 200 Years of Pittsburgh Theater. CrazyPaco (talk) 18:01, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to take some of the history from the Pitt Rep article as well (it is already well sourced).CrazyPaco (talk) 23:33, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wazowski

[edit]

I have had similar problems with this user immediately trying to undo all of my work without reviewing on case-by-case basis. He seems to be assuming bad faith for editors he doesn't like. If you file a complaint, I'll back you up on it.  --Bowser the Storm Tracker  Keeping the skies bright Chat Me Up 01:16, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Bowser, quit stalking Mike, or you'll find yourself in a heap of trouble. And stop playing this pathetic personal card of "he doesn't like me." Drmies (talk) 01:19, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • ARE YOU SERIOUSLY ACCUSING ME OF STALKING HIM?!?!?!? I have never checked his contribution list. I have never gone after his edits. I have never nominated a single edit or page of his for deletion. He is harassing me! I have been oh-so-patient with him about his hostility towards me, but he has gone one too far. I need a wikibreak because of him, but because of his MfDs I can't get one. I have Lv.3 wikistress now. He's trolling me! I do not want any of this. I just want it all to stop. If Wazowski would promise never to touch one of my edits/pages again, I would do the same for him. I cannot stop talking to him because he keeps starting new disputes with me!  --Bowser the Storm Tracker  Keeping the skies bright Chat Me Up 01:31, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, goodness. I don't want to cause any drama. Ironic because all of my contributions have been about drama. lol. I hope that all of this can be resolved through respectful dialogue.--Frankgorshin (talk) 02:10, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for your feedback regarding the 12 Peers Theater article. I'm a little confused though--I ran into similar notability issues with the Organic Theater Pittsburgh article, but most people seemed to think the company was notable once I added a review from Pittsburgh Magazine. It's not a national publication, but it does have significance for the Pittsburgh community. As with most Wikipedia articles about theatre companies, this theatre does not really have significance beyond the metropolitan area it contributes to. However, my impression has been that the presence of reviews from prominent local publications is enough to signify notability. Please let me know what else might be necessary to make the article acceptable. Thank you!--Frankgorshin (talk) 21:21, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that Wikipedia requires some evidence of notability, while local sources are useful for this, the addition of less reliable sources - such as blogs - isn't helpful. If you can obtain sources from several local media (and hopefully national media) - particularly news articles which cover it in depth - and remove the less reliable sources then notability should be established, and the article is more verifiable. --Mrmatiko (talk) 21:28, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the article does reference other news sources such as Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Pittsburgh Magazine covers the theatre with a good amount of depth, listing it as one of the "Top 10 Best Things to Do in January" as well as giving one of their productions a detailed positive review. I'll continue to look for coverage in other sources as well. Thanks!--Frankgorshin (talk) 21:38, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
