A tag has been placed on Kate Fogarty (nee Mullaney) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -- Austin512 (talkcontribs 21:04, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am reverting your edits to Troy, New York again. As the article you are trying to link to was deleted for non-notability, what you are doing at this point borders on vandalism. If you continue, you are on the path to be banned. The proper way to handle this is to improve the article about this person (if possible) and once it gets created, THEN go back and add the links. Thanks, CSZero (talk) 20:55, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What I said sounds harsh, but you are trying to act unilatetrally against administrator decisions, without engaging anyone in dialog about why you are right. Wikipedia works on consensus, and you are not playing ball. CSZero (talk) 20:56, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
One more comment. I looked into this a little deeper and it seems she is more commonly known as Kate Mullany, which we already have an article for. As she did marry a Fogarty according to http://www.katemullanynhs.org/node/15, I will add this info to her page. You should try for consensus to move this article. I don't even disagree, you just need to discuss first. CSZero (talk) 21:01, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as those you made to Troy, New York. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing.

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop. Consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. - 2 ... says you, says me 20:39, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. While everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your contributions, such as your recent edit to Maria Goretti, did not appear to be constructive and was automatically reverted by DASHBot.

  • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • DASHBot produces few false positives, but they do happen. If you believe the bot has reverted your edit wrongly, it is helpful if you report the error so the bot does not make the same mistake again. Please:

How to tag unsourced controversial material

[edit]

Hi, Fr0gg06. I noticed you recently tried to tag the Romani article to challenge unsourced data. However, you did this by adding a challenge to the content. This is generally not the way to tag content that requires references. Instead, try placing

{{cn}}

in the source right where the reference would go if there were one. It renders on the page like this:[citation needed] For more information, please look at the documentation for that template. Thanks, Dusty|💬|You can help! 18:35, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
