Xmas No.1s list
Hey Fox, just hoping you'd be able to ping me when you think the Xmas No.1 list is good to go so I can give it a final review before slating it for our Boxing Day WP:TFL? No-one seems to have killed me for getting rid of those poxy number 2s so perhaps if you get a chance, we can press on and get a half-decent seasonal list on the main page at Xmas! The Rambling Man (talk) 16:47, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
- I look forward to being bollocked. The fact that I can rise above it now means that I'm getting on a bit. Ping me when you're done (and maybe think about how we could placate the raging masses by having a brief para about notable number twos?). The Rambling Man (talk) 17:18, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not entirely comfortable with so-called "weight" that I may or may not carry. My primary aim is to promote a list of Xmas number ones not number ones and number twos. Sure, there may have been a couple of notable instances where a naff number one outdid a classic number two, if that's covered by RS then we can "mention it", otherwise the Xmas number two isn't really that impressive (of course, Rage Against the Machine vs X Factor etc makes this more pertinent in recent history, but we've had Xmas number ones for more than the duration of the X Factor....) The Rambling Man (talk) 17:26, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
- Well, let's see how we go. If I get shot down in flames for my stance, then I'll happily hand the "weight" to someone else. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:46, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Fox. Would you also be able to write up a blurb for the list so it can go through the normal route at WP:TFL? Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:10, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
- Hello again. Any chance that you'd be able to get the blurb done so I can propose the list for Boxing Day inclusion sometime this week? One thing struck me which is that the list will need to be updated for the Xmas chart, so we'll need to keep an eye on that...! The Rambling Man (talk) 08:19, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Nice one with the singles list. It got twice as many views as the featured article on Boxing Day. Winner! Happy New Year. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:55, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Michael McIntyre, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Daily Star (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
