Initial context setting

Probably others have pointed out to you by now that Wikipedia's style conventions call for fewer capital letters than you used in Schmidt normal form, but I'd like to point out the matter of initial context-setting. If you write

The Schmidt normal form is a normal form that can be defined for any matrix (not necessarily square) with entries in a principal ideal domain (PID).

then the non-mathematician reader may not know whether this is supposed to be about renaisance poetry, chemistry, theology, library science, international tax treaties, navigation of ocean-liners, software, football tactics, musical tuning, etc. So just add a couple of initial words:

In mathematics, the Schmidt normal form is a normal form that can be defined for any matrix (not necessarily square) with entries in a principal ideal domain (PID).

Proposed deletion of Cryptic Manor

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Cryptic Manor, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable episode, no source. Note that all of Season 1's eps have been deleted.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Active voice "alignment"

Hello, FourThousandTwelve. You recently edited Active voice, changing an English-language example to have the same meaning as a German-language example in the same chart. Your edit summary said, "Align examples". There is absolutely nothing wrong with the change, as your example does illustrate active and passive voice in English. I'm just curious why you felt the need to make the English match the German but not the French, Spanish, and Japanese examples. Cnilep (talk) 00:23, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oooops, just now seeing this. To be honest, I only know English and German, and felt aligning the examples would clarify the section. I'm not yet comfortable editing the other languages tho, so they will have to wait. FourThousandTwelve (talk) 02:41, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
