Welcome!

Hello, FortyFootEcho, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome! Please take the discussion about what to include in the article to the discussion page for the article and work towards consensus. Trying to force a change that others disagree with is likely to lead to frustration and annoy other editors. With consensus the change will be supported by others instead of just being undone. --NrDg 15:12, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also please log in when you make edits - it makes it easier for everyone involved and makes your edits more credible. --NrDg 15:19, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:77_hitarie_burton_3020.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:77_hitarie_burton_3020.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 21:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haley Hill Picture?

[edit]

Is the girl on the picture really Haley Hill or is it Selena Gomez (since it closely resembles her)? Besides, Selena Gomez has no picture yet on Wikipedia. Thanks Altarep (talk) 14:04, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, if it is really Selena Gomez, can you post it again and this time, put it on Gomez's article? Altarep (talk) 05:27, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Haley Hill article

[edit]

Since you are the creator and major contributor to the article put {{db-author}} at the top of the article. --NrDg 15:42, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

user:Gwernol saw too many edits by someone other than you so didn't delete the article as you requested. When you don't log in and you have a dynamic IP it looks like multiple editors. Article is being judged to meet minimum requirements to stay in Wiki. Suggest you just leave it and let others improve it if they wish. --NrDg 13:26, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:BenMckenzie.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:BenMckenzie.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? NrDg 19:05, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Insertion of false information

[edit]

[1] As has been explained multiple times, this information is contrary to the sources. Consider this a final warning. If you make this edit again, you will be blocked. Gimmetrow 16:19, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of information from He Said She Said (song)

[edit]

Your recent edits have removed substantial amounts of content from the article He Said She Said (song). Please seek consensus on the article talk page before making such significant deletions. Your edits have been reverted.--Rossheth | Talk to me 17:34, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Headstrong

[edit]

The ref for the australia chart [2] discusses the Headstrong album at position 80. Please restore it yourself or I'll go ahead with a WP:3RR investigation. Gimmetrow 19:45, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

June 2008

[edit]

This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism, as you did to Headstrong (album), will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --GoodDamon 20:08, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On a more direct note, I have checked several of the references you removed and changed on the page, and you appear to be engaged in a campaign of deliberate introduction of factual errors into the article. If you vandalize that or any other page one more time, you really will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --GoodDamon 20:10, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vanessa Hudgens's pages

[edit]

Look. I like Vanessa Hudgens too but I only deleted repeated information. I added some referenced chart positions in that page. Let's stop that edit war, ok? Voices4ever 17:13, 27 June 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Multiple accounts

[edit]

In light of this list of accounts, please choose one account to use from now on. Gimmetrow 18:16, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your disruptive editing with sockpuppets has exhausted my patience. No more warnings. Gimmetrow 19:17, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of information from Ashley Tisdale

[edit]

Your recent edits have removed substantial amounts of content from the article Ashley Tisdale, all of them with reliable references. Please seek consensus on the article talk page before making such significant deletions. Your edits have been reverted. Voices4ever 15:20, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Block

[edit]

A checkuser of the account User:Couglinetde shows that a large number of suspect accounts (including several abusive ones) all share the same IP. That IP was also used by this user, whose user page shows they are already suspected of abusive use of multiple accounts, and whose technical data shows they are likely the same user. The connection is a cell/mobile one, ie unlikely to be a shared college or the usual plausible reasons, and the number of accounts created is such that abusive editing is very likely.

I have blocked the accounts indefinitely, and the underlying IP is hard blocked for a lengthy period. If the user wishes to edit with one account only (as previously requested) then I leave any unblock decision to the community, but due to the hard block they may need to request unblock by email to the unblock list. Please see Wikipedia:Appealing a block.
