User Name
[edit]I noticed you had some trouble with your original user name. Upon reviewing WP:UN, I've noticed that the word "offensive" is used, rather than "controversial", which was provided as a justification for maintaining an inappropriate and unexplained account ban. At this time I do not have much real desire to be a regular on Wikipedia, though I'm somewhat more active on similar venues, however, if you're interested, that might provide some help. Afterall, I'd not dispute the name you had chosen was controversial, but to claim it is offensive, is quite a stretch. "Black Panther" managed to be an acceptible user name, although it would seem both controversial and offensive. For someone to find you in violation of the policy they'd have to justify "covert incest survivor" as an offensive term, rather than a controversial one. Seeing as how the vandals on Covert_incest themselves are not even going that far, I'd be surprised if anyone with banning ability would if pressed. Maybe you should re-visit that one, just on principal. It seems like you likely fell victim to the same kind of deviancy that is twisting the article, by people who believe anything less than sexual intercourse is not inappropriate or doesn't deserve to be stimatized as a sub-section of incest.

- I just noticed this now, but this is old news. Wikipedia is not a very neutral place after all. It has no mechanism in place to prevent editors from pushing for views they hold and diminish those they don't like. Instead of being a reflection of reality, it's become a place where people go to try to change reality to how they would like it to be. Anyway, you may want to create a user account, because people tend to distrust comments and edits made by anonymous IP addresses. Forest Path (talk) 23:42, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
