Soccer vs football
[edit]I recommend you have a look at the following links....
Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Football in Australia)
HiLo48 (talk) 23:33, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- As per the links HiLo48 (talk · contribs) supplied here, in Australia association football is referred to as soccer and that is the terminology used in articles on the subject. Please stop changing "soccer" to "football" on the A-League page and any related pages. Otherwise the only option might be to block you. --SuperJew (talk) 09:56, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- The world cup in 1994 was in the United States, where the term is "soccer" not football. WP:LANGVAR. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:11, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
Please stop trying to impose your personal interpretations on articles related to soccer/football in Wikipedia. Your edit to A-League was inaccurate and broke several links. Please stop disrupting Wikipedia to further your personal agenda. Further disruption may result in you being blocked from editing. Laplorfill (talk) 06:29, 1 May 2021 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia. Laplorfill (talk) 06:31, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- Per Laplorfill previous warning, please stop vandilising Wikipedia,as you did once again here. It has been explained to you many times already that in Australia the term is soccer per WP:NCFA. --SuperJew (talk) 17:39, 15 June 2021 (UTC)

Request reason:
Football in Australia is clearly the round ball game. AFL is AFL and NRL is rugby
Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. – Elisson • T • C • 15:20, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
