Nominating articles for deletion
[edit]In future, when you are nominating articles for deletion, please notify people who are involved in discussions related to that article when you nominate it. It's common courtesy. You have been lobbying against content related to PURE on the 2014 F1 season page, and when you didn't get you way, you went straight to AFD without informing anyone. However valid your case may have been, the way you handled it was extremely poorly handled. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 21:55, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- User:Prisonermonkeys is clearly a hypocrite. He nominated two of my articles[1][2] for deletion on 24 October without informing anyone. Freimütig (talk) 22:30, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
- You accuse wrong. PURE had speedy deletion template during whole discussion - AFD came when speedy deletion was denied after days. If you ever opened article while editwarring and discussing, you had known. FootballCleaner (talk) 22:39, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

- Anyone with an obit in the NYT is considered notable--it's a RS for notability. And I remind you that passing speedy a7 requires just a plausible indication of importance, which is much less than actual notability. See WP:CSD for explanation.
- When you list an article for deletion by any method you must indicate this in the edit summary--this is a requirement, not an option, & is necessary to facilitate locating the edit by us overworked admins, and by other editors.
- It is also highly advised to notify the person originating the article, so they can improveor defend it, or at least know their error. DGG ( talk ) 03:45, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
