Welcome!

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Film budgets

[edit]

Hello. I saw you changed several budgets. Please do not blank citations and the content they support. If you find a source that has a different value than Box Office Mojo, do not remove the BOM citation and value in favor of the new value. Instead, list it in the article as a range, like "$50–75 million". It sometimes screws up articles to remove citations like this, as the citation may be used to verify other information. So, please, do not blank citations. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:18, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Got it. Sorry, new at this. Foodles42 (talk) 16:40, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The budget of Prates 5 is only $230 milion.Hollywood Reporter and Cinemablend later confirms the budget Travatar91 (talk) 21:19, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Travatar91 No, cinemablend said this: "its budget allegedly came in at around $320 million".

Many thanks, he has been plaguing many editors for some time, it seems. Foodles42 (talk) 23:01, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

April 2018

Your recent editing history at Dunkirk (2017 film) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Binksternet (talk) 19:34, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Binksternet I now added the $150 (as part of the range, per infobox rules) and cited LA Times, The Numbers (both specifically cited as sources for budgets, per infobox rules). Are you going to revert a valid edit that follows infobox rules and that uses preferred RS as the source??? Do facts not matter?? Foodles42 (talk) 19:38, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Cognissonance (talk) 04:55, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Foodles42, can you respond at the report and explain why you should not be blocked for edit warring? It looks like you have made five reverts, which breaks the WP:3RR rule. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 05:39, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
EdJohnstonThe person who put the warning on my page, and the person who reported me on the edit warring page also reverted me and, amazingly, did not write a single word on the talk page to make their case. I left a lengthy argument there before any edit. If consensus is to be reached, the people who reverted me and reported me did not even try to participate in reaching said consensus. ArbCom 2018 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Foodles42. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
