Reply on blocked user
No problem! Unfortunately, the only time we will know his IP is that he does not log-in the next time and doing similar vandalism (he may possibly make some block evasions based on what he said), so we will have to keep an eye on him (especially the 9/11 article and the type of vandalism he did). But right now, since I don't know his IP address, I cannot be able to block the IP in question (unless someone else spotted the IP he did used prior to this account). --JForget 02:23, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
You beat me!
To that revert of Quebec! ;) Thanks for helping clean up the 'pedia. Do you know about WP:CUV? There's some useful tools there you might like. I can recommend some if you like. Let me know if you need anything, glad to have you helping out. Peace, delldot talk 04:31, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:MWHS Logo.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:MWHS Logo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image:MWHS Logo.png listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:MWHS Logo.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Invite
I appreciate your inviting me to join wikipedia as a member (you may know me as 209.137.182.35), but i'm already a member and am usually too lazy to log in. Still, thanks. Matt White (talk) 01:16, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Primera Division Peruana revert
Hi. I forgot to login when I edited that page and the reason why I delinked the years was because according to a peer review I did, they prefer to have years unlinked. If it were a full date then it says it would be ok. Also, I changed the years of the unofficial years because according to the table at the bottom of the page it said that the unofficial competitions ran from 1912 to 1927.
The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and might not be applicable for the article in question.
- Consider removing links that add little to the article or that have been repeated in close proximity to other links to the same article, as per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (links) and WP:CONTEXT. Guides recommend having greater than 3% words in links, but be sure not to overlink words just to add more links.[?]
- Per Wikipedia:Context and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates), months and days of the week generally should not be linked. Years, decades, and centuries can be linked if they provide context for the article.[?]
- As per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (headings), please do not link words in headings.[?]
- Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (headings), headings generally should not repeat the title of the article. For example, if the article was Ferdinand Magellan, instead of using the heading ==Magellan's journey==, use ==Journey==.[?]
- Please reorder/rename the last few sections to follow guidelines at Wikipedia:Guide to layout.[?]
- Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a.[?]
