El Al
Just a few minor issues need to be dealt with before passing this article.
- 1) There is a problem with citation 38
- 2) Consider spreading the photos out in the article. Delete the 767 photo as it is already in the livery section, and try and spread out the remaining four, perhaps by moving two of them to the left hand side of the article. This will vastly improve the article's aesthetic. Zeus1234 04:27, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Zeus1234 04:27, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
I fixed problem #1 for you (and part of #2). You have really done a great job with this article.
- I passed El Al. Congratulations! Zeus1234 18:21, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I've added a bunch of comments at the El Al FAC, feel free to get in touch if you need me explain anything or want any help with any of it. All the best, The Rambling Man 13:21, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, glad to help. Will try to address comments. BTW, the candidate page is messed up, try and fix the numbered items you responded to. Derwig 14:33, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
From the FAC comments it seems like work is still needed on this article. I am busy in the real world, but will try my best to give you a hand. Also, good work getting Israel to GA Derwig 13:25, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
More on the El Al FAC
Does Tony's opposition mean the nomination is dead? Is consensus required, or can he be outvoted?
I would be glad to do some copy editing that might assuage Tony's wounded sensibilities, but I don't know how much it would help. He seems pretty outraged.
As you like.
--Ravpapa 05:47, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Take a look at User:Ravpapa/My Drafts. That is how I would rewrite the lead of the El Al piece. I'm not sure it's better, but it might resolve some of the objections of the hypersensitive - terrorism is gone, as are any hints of Zionist fervor.
If you like this, I will keep at it.

Contribution to Ashdod
Hi. Thank you for editing Ashdod article. May I ask why do you remove the bullets (economy & culture) paragraphs. Personally, I think that information is more accessible when it sorted in bullets. Shmuliko 12:30, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:El Al 60s70s.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:El Al 60s70s.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Notability of Arcaffe
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Arcaffe, by Haemo, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Arcaffe seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Arcaffe, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Arcaffe itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 07:32, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Your Edits to Transatlantic flight
Thank you for your contribution to Transatlantic flight, you wrote that the First non-stop Transatlantic Scheduled Commerical Flight(s) was by El Al. Do you have any references to back this up. My research suggests the first non-stop Atlantic service (using fixed-wing a/c)was by Pan Am in 1947 (see [1]). I believe German Airships offered a non stop service in the 1930s. I know the Israel-JFK route was at one time the longest non-stop service, but I'm not sure if it was the first. Regards -- Rehnn83 Talk 14:42, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

I find the proposal to use "activists" despicable in that case, but that's my POV. Since the guideline says so, I would recommend to use an authoritative quote. Then it is not WP editorial opinion. ←Humus sapiens ну? 08:14, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Caesarea_Foundation.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Caesarea_Foundation.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. Hi Flymeoutofhere,
Could you wait on the changes, the cut and paste move is very problematic. TewfikTalk 08:46, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it, I just didn't want you to waste energy on edits that would be deleted/complicate the repair. The admins on patrol are usually quick about it though, so you should soon be back. Good job on the colour and tables by the way, I was going to save the headache for a little later myself ;-) Cheers, TewfikTalk 08:54, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Sky News New Colourscheme.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sky News New Colourscheme.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:35, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
I noticed you moved El Al to El Al Israel Airlines awhile back (I know the article is Tomorrow's FA). Are you sure that's standard protocol? The name did not appear to come up as an issue during the FAC and I have seen other airline articles (namely Qantas, which is linked from the Airline WikiProject) that reside at a location without their full name. I understand we would, for example, use Delta Airlines over Delta, but El Al Israel Airlines is far from being a common name. I think the article should be moved back, pending a move request discussion. -- tariqabjotu 21:51, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Need help
You seem to know a lot about airports in Israel. I was wondering if you could add some info about Arad's airfield into: Arad, Israel#Transportation, at least: when the airport was founded, its traffic statistics, what kind of flights it serves, etc. (it's already talked about, but very briefly and I have no sources for this). Thanks in advance, Ynhockey (Talk) 01:15, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
May you explain something to me?
Hi! I have to say that I am comfortably dumb (I'm not, actually) about 'HTML syntax' and so on. You removed a | character there from the Israir Airlines Fleet, where I added an A/C to the table. You were sure right, but can you explain what this changes, as my eyes cannot see the difference? Thanks forward for the explanation. — Kanġi Oĥanko (talk) 22:45, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- It removed a tiny column at the end of the table. If you look closely you'll see it.--Flymeoutofhere 19:27, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for the answer. I didn't see then what was the difference. I'll try to remember. Cordially. — Kanġi Oĥanko (talk) 04:57, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Your nominations at WP:GAC
Hey, saw you nominated both Tel Aviv and Haifa. However, you forgot to add Haifa to the Places category of the nominations page, despite putting the (correct) nomination template on the article's talk page. If you could correct this it would be really helpful! Happy editing, VanTucky 19:19, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry I didn't make myself clear enough, this GA thing can be tricky. You needed to use the nomination template for each different nomination. So there needs to be a listing for Tel Aviv and Haifa. I fixed it, if you look at the history of WP:GAC. VanTucky 19:31, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Peres
See Chen-shui bian and Bruce Golding's talks for the two most drawn arguments as of late I've had. Boris Tadic had a problem exactly like this and Avala (I believe that's it) reneged after ignoring my offer to discuss it for quite some time and found that it has become the standard not to show the person's order. - As an American, I can say that one of the reasons I am an Anglophile is due to the United States and its stubbornness to use spellings, punctuations, grammar and vocabulary improperly and its peoples' arrogance to think that because they are big, they can have their own way, despite the rest. Canada and Australia also have this problem. Therequiembellishere (talk) 20:25, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Requesting comments
Hi, please comment on my concerns in Talk:List of tallest buildings and structures in Israel. Thanks, Ynhockey (Talk) 18:08, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Not sure what you meant. Which edit are you referring to? For now, read this article about the Elite Tower. I don't think I have other related sources though, at least not recent ones, and info about the Elite Tower changes on a biweekly basis... -- Ynhockey (Talk) 21:50, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- There's no good up to date source that I know of, and since I frequent serveral construction-realted forums, which are not able to come up with this info, I am guessing that there is no such general site. However, there are forums which have tons of interesting information and sometimes even state the sources. This is one of the better construction forums, somewhere there you can find a lot of links to individual project websites which will often have very good information on towers that you can't find anywhere else. But again, up-to-dateness is the most important thing here. I mean, look at this list, which was at one time comprehensive and accurate. Now though, it's clear that maybe 80% of the projects listed there will never materialize. Too bad, but it's ok because there are many other new projects proposed and approved more recently. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 22:01, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- In the past, I have asked several people from construction forums to help me write articles for Wikipedia about skyscrapers. Despite relatively high initial enthusiasm, no one has come through so far, and no useful information was given on the topics I requested. I think our best bet is to just follow the forums, as well as local newspapers (the economy section of Yediot Ahronot usually has interesting info). -- Ynhockey (Talk) 19:54, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed you have a request in at peer review which has not yet received any response besides the semi-automated script. Have you tried requesting a peer review from the volunteers list? Another idea is to review someone else's request (particularly one from the list of requests without responses), then ask that they look at your request.
