Cian O'Connor
[edit]Hi, I reverted your edit to the Cian O'Connor article. UNfortunately the edit was unsourced and did, to be honest, have elements that would have to have a source attributed, per Wikipedia's policy on the biography of living people. FlowerpotmaN·(t) 00:55, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. Actually the whole article needs to be referenced. I had it on my watchlist because I had to fix something a couple of weeks ago, but the article really needs sourcing, even for what might seem obvious.
If you want to start adding material to the article, that's fine, but everything needs to be sourced, especially in an article dealing with a living person. WP:BLP is a policy that applies not only to the subject of the article, but to people mentioned within the article. It can be a bit of a minefield, but it's necessary.
One thing to avoid is drawing conclusions within the article about what should have happened; if an outside reliable source says something, that can be added, but the source has to be provided and it's the not the role of a Wikipedia article to debate the ethics (or whatever) of the situation.
I'll be dropping in and out of the O'Connor article in over the next few days as it really needs referencing, although I have a few other things I want to get done as well, but if you need help in formating citations, give me a shout. FlowerpotmaN·(t) 00:52, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
