Tagging

I noticed some of your tag additions have been blatantly incorrect. E.g. {{notability}} on nation at the Asian games articles? It looks to me you're just randomly adding tags, as pointed out by Doc James above. Please cut it out. The editor whose username is Z0 09:07, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

Yes. I can see there are alot of sources. However 1.Most of them link directly to primary sources such as I-tunes and beat port buy pages (an activity which could significantly hyper inflate the artist's google rankings) 2. A lot of your sources, for example the Billboard source are profiles which can and have been created by the artist themselves, again this is a primary source.

3. I think more telling is what references aren't there. There is no mention of the artist in mainstream EDM publications such as mix mag, Thump, Pitchfork, XLR8R etc. Why? Because the artist lacks notability.

Thanks for your response. Per the Wikipedia notability policy, a subject merits an article if it passes the general notability criteria (GNG) and/or the subject-specific criteria (SSG). The GNG requires that there exist multiple sources that discuss the subject significantly are reliable and independent from the subject. There exists multiple sources that satisfy the above requirement such as AllMusic[1], Dancing Astronaut[2], Insomniac[3], thus passing the GNG. Andrew Bayer has also multiple albums on national music chart(s), thus passing the SSG - which is WP:NMUSIC for musicians. He has also been nominated for a Grammy award, hence adding more weight to his notability. Primary sources in the article do not affect this person's notability as long as it's already established. The publications you mentioned (MixMag, Thump, etc) are reliable but just because they have not wrote about this person doesn't mean other reliable sources don't count. Sorry mate, but how are English speaking editors supposed to determine notability is all the references are in another language?
