Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. your comment that was deleted from an article talkpage

Hi, I was posting a complaint about SineBot, and noticed that you were complaining also.

After investigating the edit-history, I can assure you:

• it was not SineBot, or SineBot's owner slakr, who deleted your comment. You falsely accused them -- not good -- please remember to assume good faith, even when you are angry or frustrated. Especially then, actually.

• it was a misguided human editor, who deleted your talkpage comment, and also the talkpage comment of another person. However, again we assume good faith: the talkpage comments they deleted would have been deleted, if they had been in the article itself. So probably they just failed to understand that WP:NPOV applies to the article, and not to opinions on the talkpage. I'll try and convey this to them. As for you, why bicker with somebody about their mistake? Let bygones be bygones, and go on improving wikipedia. Especially if somebody fixed the problem -- see next bullet.

• your comment was rescued by KL7, a wikihero who knows wikipedia policies quite well. They also rescued the other deleted comment. So they, like me, believe fully in free speech. Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, and talkpages are for discussions about how to improve the article. If you feel like it, leave them a nice note on their KL7 talkpage -- everybody likes to be thanked when they do something nice.

Anyways, in the future, please do not jump to conclusions. If you think somebody is violating wikipedia policy -- which includes pillar number four of being civil and respectful -- then instead of getting angry, and doing something you might later regret, just walk away. When you have cooled off, and can look at the situation with a clear eye, is a better way. The person who deleted your talkpage comment was violating pillar number four, by disrespecting your right to your own opinion. But then you violated pillar number four, by falsely accusing slakr.

Try and keep cool. This is just an encyclopedia, after all. The most important encyclopedia ever, yes, but still just an encyclopedia.  :-) If somebody is violating pillar four, instead of calling them out on it, and trying to start a fight, your better bet is to stay calm, and carry on as if they did not exist. If you notice them repeatedly disrupting the process of improving the encyclopedia, then you can report them to an administrator. There's a big button on the lefthand sidebar of every page that says Community Portal, and if you look there, you'll see Dispute Resolution as one of the main icons, in cases like this.

Any time someone is disrupting the talkpages, in a way that keeps you from improving the encyclopedia, they are not doing the right thing. Wikipedia is not a forum for people to chat about their politics with each other -- the talkpages are about improving the articles. Deleting posts by other people is not attempting to improve the article, for sure.
