FYI

Just thought you would like to know. You had a serial sockpuppeter copy both your user and user talk pages to a doppelganger account they made, User:1F1at 0ut. I'm not sure why they picked you as I didn't get the connection to you and the sockpuppet target, but then I didn't look really hard. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:44, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

Gogo Dodo thanks for the heads up, I believe it has to do with an I.P that was socking on Manila related articles - when I get a chance I will go back and see if I can work out the connection and make sure the sock identified and the original are appropriately linked. Thanks Flat Out let's discuss it 23:14, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
Gogo Dodo I suspect it's linked to this. Presently MarianoRiverro and WikipediaN6860o have not been linked but I'm pretty sure they are the same socks linked through I.P addresses. If you have a look at the I.Ps blocked as socks of MarianoRivero you'll see they have edited many of the same articles. Flat Out let's discuss it 02:16, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

I was not blinding reverting

There were 2 edits that happened after I was trying to restore the deletion tag I put earlier hence why that happened, sorry for the confusion. Wgolf (talk) 05:03, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Wgolf the deletion tag was redundant after a reference was added then nominated for speedy delete. Flat Out let's discuss it 05:04, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
I missed that part-sorry I thought the guy was doing tons of edits which I have had happen before when I was trying to get before the previous edit. Wgolf (talk) 05:06, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
That's why it is unwise to revert blind. It is best to review diffs before reverting just to be sure. Flat Out let's discuss it 05:07, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

A Tesla Roadster for you!
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Gg53000 (talk) 00:19, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks Gg53000, is there any particular reason for the wikilove? Flat Out let's discuss it 00:23, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

I've always been willing to congratulate other editors for their contributions. This is one of those times.--Gg53000 (talk) 00:26, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

I think there is a sock puppet out there.

I think there's a sock puppet on 2601:1:1300:165:6153:f81b:aae2:60be and it might be 2601:1:1300:165:59CB:3C9E:3C76:28AE, who has been blocked for 31 hours for his disruptive editing on List of Rescue 911 episodes. BattleshipMan (talk) 19:43, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi BattleshipMan, the editor has a dynamic I.P address so they will keep popping up under variants of the 2601:1:1300:165 I.P. There isn't much that can be done as you block one variant and another pops up. Page protection works better and has been applied to this article. Katy Perry: Christian should be listed as a genre

I feel that Christian should be listed as a genre for Katy Perry. To avoid an edit war, we need to have discussion on whether or not Christian should be included. I say it should be included: she has a full album of Christian music, it was important to getting her career started, the album in question now sells online for hundreds of dollars, she includes Christian themes in her later albums, and her song "By the Grace of God" is classified on Wikipedia as Christian pop.

I do realize that genres can be difficult to agree on. If you like a particular artist, you want to list genres that you find desirable for them. If you like Katy Perry and you like Christian music, then you want Christian listed. If you like Katy Perry but don't like Christian music, or if you don't like Katy Perry and do like Christian music, then you don't want to list Christian. We need to be as unbiased as possible. Mitsguy2001 (talk) 18:10, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
As I mentioned on the article talk page, @Mitsguy2001:, adding genres does not make articles biased. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 18:19, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
As I stated on the article's talk page, we do not list every genre the artist has ever performed - we add the genre that the majority of reliable sources use. Katy Perry is not notable for Christian music. Flat Out let's discuss it 22:02, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
XXSNUGGUMSXX and I both want it added. You are the only one not wanting it added. Majority wins, so it should be added. Please stop deleting it. Mitsguy2001 (talk) 17:09, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
Mitsguy2001, please read WP:CONSENSUS. Consensus does not equal voting or majority rules. If would actually take time time read the relevant policies and guidelines rather than pushing POV you would understand better. Flat Out let's discuss it 01:57, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

I'm confused re: why you did this. Please could you explain where the inconsistency or whatever lies. - Sitush (talk) 08:44, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

Hello,Im new in wikipedia. I had react on Emsisoft anti malwer. The company ask to upadate a little bit the info about them and they product on they web page: http://blog.emsisoft.com/2014/02/05/emsi-wikipedians-we-need-your-help/. You can check out if you are interested on update and help the new company through wiki to keep going on the market. I personally think that they deserve little help as the products what they offer are really very good. Pleas consider that. And PS: I'm sorry that I try to change the topic with out your permission. Thank you for reading the message and I hope you ll check out and help. MonteChris — Preceding unsigned comment added by MonteChris (talkcontribs) 14:37, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi MonteChris and thanks for your message. There were a few problems with your edit at that article, including the removal of sourced content. It is not a good idea to edit on behalf of a company that has requested changes to their wikipedia article. Please see WP:COI. Flat Out let's discuss it 03:39, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

Help on getting Kim Yuna article lock-protected?

Hi, thank you so much for reverting and reporting that user on Kim Yuna's article. It seems like its not stopping. Its creating other accounts as well. So I was thinking, what if you put a 'lock' on the page? Do you know how to do it?Masterpeace3 (talk) 07:49, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

Leiobunum

Hi, I have edited the Leiobunum page and noticed to had reverted all the information to the original content. I was wondering why. There is a lot that page is missing. Was it my sources? I linked the website page to where it was appropriate, but it came up saying something about outside websites or something along those lines. I tried it more than once in different places and it still didn't work. I ended up just citing it in the reference area. I still feel that there needs to be more information on this page as the Harvestmen are widely misunderstood. Please explain what you mean by "misrepresents". I restored content and changed the term assault to harassment. What, exactly would make it representative? Sasmon (talk) 06:10, 22 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi Sasmon and thanks for posting. With biographies of a living person we need to be careful about what is written. There are a few issues with that paragraph, the first is that it should not be in the lead as it is not mentioned in the body of the article, and the lead is a summary of the key points of the rest of the article. The second, is the source must support the claim in the article, it didn't when I removed it the first time. Importantly the article was about a lawsuit against the university, not the subject. Thirdly, as per WP:BLPCRIME unproved allegations, especially when the subject has not been charged should only be included in some circumstances. Also, if you look at my first edit summary you will see it asks editors to refer to the talk page, where there is discussion on this issue. Flat Out let's discuss it 06:15, 22 February 2014 (UTC)

Not an Autobiography

I have created the page "Lysanne Tusar" not as an autobiography, but as information about an entrepreneur and business women in Hong Kong. She has been interviewed in many publications in Hong Kong and around the world. This article is a summery of her work in Hong Kong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ltusar (talkcontribs) 06:18, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

The article was written in a promotional tone, which I have fixed. I notice you use the subjects name for your user name Ltusar which suggests you are the subject or closely connected with the subject. Flat Out let's discuss it 06:21, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks

After that guy was harassing me last night, I just felt like going off as I didn't want to deal with some guy constantly getting upset on my page, so thanks for sending that warning and things, have a nice day. Wgolf (talk) 16:04, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi Wgolf, you are more than welcome. If you are going to fight vandalism you will get attacks on your user pages. It happens to all of us. Stay calm and revert if necessary and you can always get page protection if you are being harassed. When you report vandalism, make sure the editor has been appropriately warned or nothing will happen. Flat Out let's discuss it 22:19, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

PinoyCountdown could be a sockpuppet of this user

user:PinoyTVRecentUploaded Not sure who registered first so I don't know who to make the report for, you could if you like (also a similar IP also removed the speedies earlier) Wgolf (talk) 03:23, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

Cheers Wgolf,if you look at contributions user:PinoyTVRecentUploade edited first. I have made the report and will add the I.P 49.145.52.0. if there is another let me know. Flat Out let's discuss it 03:29, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi Flat Out. New user Loritrus has been deleting substantial material at Yuna Kim and at Adelina Sotnikova without comment or explanation. Should be reviewed carefully. I have two photos to show you

One is my father working on the newspaper, he has this taken of him, as a professional photo and the other is very historical looking of him with some other young men whom I believe was the group of friends in which he was involved in. They wanted to kill Mussolini and they would often say they should go and try to kill him, but they never got the nerve. I don't know how to browser the computer to show you the photos, I don't know if more then one can be used. I just thought that old photo was so historical interesting, that it should be used, as well, as the other one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Apriv40dj (talkcontribs) 21:23, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

Apriv40dj, my apologies I missed this post from you. The photo that you added is a good one and given the size of the article I would leave it at that for now. Well done. Flat Out let's discuss it 23:20, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
