Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Pop'n'Gum album cover.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Pop'n'Gum album cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 11:48, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Deconversion, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Happy Valentine's Day!
[edit]— Cuyler91093 - Соитяівцтіоиѕ is wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day, Flaming! This greeting promotes WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Happy Valentine's Day, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend.
Spread the love by adding {{subst:User:Flaminglawyer/HapValDay!}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
Hey, I hope you don't mind, but in the code, I added a {{BASEPAGENAME}} code to it, so it automatically shows the user's name. But please don't take it as vandalism! Happy Valentine's Day! — Cuyler91093 - Соитяівцтіоиѕ 18:08, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Deconversion
[edit]An editor has nominated Deconversion, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deconversion and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:00, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:Gnu-head.png
[edit]A tag has been placed on Image:Gnu-head.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[Talk:Image:Gnu-head.png|the article's talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]What?
ThePurpleMonkey(talk•contribs) 01:32, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well.... I wish I was still involved in Wikipedia.... it's censored (blocked) at my school, and I rarely have the time to edit at home. (HOW IN THE WORLD could anyone block Wikipedia?). But, it's a definite maybe.
RFA
[edit]Thanks for participating in my RFA, which closed successfully with 40 supports, 13 opposes, and 4 neutrals. For those of you who supported my RFA, I greatly appreciate it. For those who did not, I'm also thankful for your constructive criticism. If you need some advice or have some pointers for me, you know where to reach me! A special thank you to Majorly for all his time and effort he has placed in my nomination. Once again, thank you all for your helpful comments. Now off to new admin school! [edit]You ask for my help, then you come to my talk page and insult my signature? That's... that's... that's actually perfectly ok, I'm just kidding. I think it varies from resolution to resolution; I, too, am on Firefox at 1280x1024 and it looks fine to me. I wonder how it would look if I upped the size a bit more... - I was actually kidding, don't worry. :) And the smiley isn't in <tt>... hmm. I made my sig above this bigger, how does that look? And thanks for the userpage compliment, yours is pretty spiffy too. Master of Puppets Call me MoP!☺ 02:30, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- No, I just control 48% of the users on Wikipedia. Just kidding, again (I'm possibly the stupidest admin we've got). Yes, I get it from Master of Puppets and Master of Puppets (song). I'm hoping you're not actually on fire. Master of Puppets Call me MoP!☺ 02:35, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Copper Telluride, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Copper Telluride is a test page.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Copper Telluride, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Earlier this evening, when I was just beginning an article on McCabe's Guitar Shop, you tagged it as reading like an advertisement. At that point, there were only a couple lines, and no sources. Since that time, I have substantially revised the article, including in-line references to all of the sources used in the article. The article now presents a balanced view of McCabe's, which is the most famous forum for folk music on the West Coast. It has been hosting the top folk musicians since the 1960s. More than a dozen of the genre's musician's have recorded live albums there. I don't think the tag is appropriate at this point and ask that you take another look and consider removing the tag.Cbl62 (talk) 03:59, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
