Speedy deletion nomination of User:FirstCapitolConsulting/sandbox
[edit]A tag has been placed on your user page, User:FirstCapitolConsulting/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ―Susmuffin Talk 00:12, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, FirstCapitolConsulting. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. – Athaenara ✉ 00:16, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
Would like to contribute to Wikipedia community and will remove copy that promotes company. What other steps need to be taken to verify account is legitimate.FirstCapitolConsulting (talk) 16:04, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
The legitimacy of your account is not the issue. You have violated several Wikipedia policies, including WP:PROMO, WP:COI, and WP:PAID(please review them). Your username also violates the username policy as usernames cannot be that of a business or company. You will not be allowed to continue to edit about your company. If you want to edit about other subjects, subjects for which you have no conflict of interest, as an independent, general Wikipedia contributor, you are welcome to make a new unblock request that also requests a new username. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 16:08, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Please understand that Wikipedia is not for merely telling about a company. This is an encyclopedia, which is interested in what independent reliable sources with significant coverage state about article subjects that meet Wikipedia's special definition of notability. For companies, that is written at WP:ORG. Wikipedia has no interest in what a company wants to say about itself. As I note above, you will need to choose a new username if you wish to be a general Wikipedia contributor as an individual. I will provide instructions on that in a moment. 331dot (talk) 16:10, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 16:10, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
