Speedy deletion nomination of Andrey Esionov
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Andrey Esionov, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of https://www.esionov.com/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Ways to improve Andrey Esionov
[edit]Hi, I'm Nick Moyes. Finkrek, thanks for creating Andrey Esionov!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please insert references giving evidence of the national awards mentioned. This would help demonstrate WP:NOTABILITY. Is there an image that just shows him?? The merged images don't contribute to the article at all.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Edits to Andrey Esionov article
[edit]Hello Finkrek. When editing Wikipedia articles please take care not to remove markup code such as "{{reflist}}
", as you did at Andrey Esionov. This code causes the references to appear in the correct location, under a heading such as "References". Also please do not remove "tags" such as {{BLP sources}}
without attending to the problem to which the tag is drawing attention: Noyster (talk), 18:56, 27 December 2017 (UTC)

Need help

Working on article about Andrey Esionov. There're tags "No footnotes", "Orphan" and "BLP sources". Added several refs, put a link from the page List of Russian artists. Can I remove them now?
The main problem that I met, is that there's only a few articles and pages translated into English. For example, English version of Russian Academy of Arts website doesn't contain information about Esionov's membership. But this information can be found on russian version of this website. In this case I put a reference link to russian version. Is it correct? I looked through some modern british artists' articles and I found references to not-english websites several times.
- Being on a list of foo doesn't really mean it's not an orphan any longer. Please allow an unaffiliated editor to assess the article and tags. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 13:41, 7 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi! Can I ask somebody to check my article about Andrey Esionov? Does it still need tags "No footnotes", "Orphan" and "BLP sources"? Or they can be removed?
- The same issues still apply, so the tags remain. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 13:46, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
I put more links from other articles. Added "Membership" section in Russian Academy of Arts and put a link there to a new article named Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Arts. Then added a link to Andrey Esionov. Is it possible to remove "Orphan" tag?) Update: criteria for linking. Well, article has 5 links now and accordingly to these criteria "lists of" count as links for de-orphaning. So, сan I remove this tag now?
Don't quite understand what to do with "no footnotes" tag. Each paragraph in the article has at least 1 footnote. Can you give me an example of a part of text that I should provide with a footnote? Or may be the problem is with the list of external links - they are not clearly connected to any statement if the article - may be I should delete them so that it would be possible to remove the tag?
