[edit]Re: Peter Lorre
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article Peter Lorre, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 23:16, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Oh, great.
[edit]I cannot believe the gall of this idiot child. Looks as if another admin shut him down and all of his edits to his usual pet articles are reverted. Collectonian has instigated a new CU to request yet another rangeblock and to check for underlying socks. This is simply like nothing I've ever seen before and some formal action is long overdue. UPDATE: I got hold of our very own Jimbo Wales on this matter. In fact, he got back to me less than a day after I e-mailed him. He'd asked for pertinent information which I forwarded immediately. He's on a ten-day sabbatical in preparation for a seminar and has promised to look into this as soon as he's able to. Cross your fingers and hope that this long nightmare is about to end. If you even remotely suspect a Bambifan sockpuppet, please let me know. Thanks! --PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:51, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
You may be right...
[edit]...he looks as if he's using a proxy out of Key West, Florida. It's gone for one year as soon as I sign this message. Thanks for the alert and as I've said, if you so much as smell him, please let me know. At least the damage wasn't too bad and he was reverted. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:46, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
- All set. I thought the edits had been reverted, but they hadn't. I went ahead and did so myself. I'm getting ready to file a sockpuppet report to see if he has any sleepers in this IP range. I can impose a rangeblock, but since this is a different carrier, I'm reluctant to do so. On the other hand, if he shows up again via this same carrier, boom. I'll block the range. I tell you, I blocked four full BellSouth ranges in Mobile, Alabama and a school IP for the Mobile County Unified School District and still he finds a way in. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:00, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
He's been at this for nearly four years and he hasn't learned. That idiocy where he suggested that his own account be blocked is classic Bambifan...but what doesn't figure is the geolocator. The IP resolves to Austin, Texas. So, we have either a copycat or the little dweeb is on the move with Mommy and Daddy. I'm almost leaning toward copycat, but of course, I have no way of knowing. I have to change that block to one year as opposed to indefinite, but Lord knows I wish that I really could block all his IPs indefinitely. The rules won't allow it, I'm afraid. Please don't hesitate to alert me. I appreciate knowing what's happening where little Bambi is concerned. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 06:36, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
- UPDATE: I don't think he's traveling at all. The ranges are the same and both from AT&T, but they're in different states. The little weasel has somehow figured out how to log onto proxy servers. I'm blocking the range, which ought to do the trick. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 06:41, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Please cool your tone
[edit]I realize and appreciate that you're trying to deal with what is most likely the sock of a banned user that I have had some dealings with myself, but comments such as this are never acceptable. —KuyaBriBriTalk 14:44, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Oh, OK... Filmguy924 (talk) 18:05, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Please stop
[edit]I came here to say this only to note that you've been poked about it before. Please stop with the personal attacks. Regardless of whether or not the editor is in fact Bambifan, it is still an editor and statements like these in edit summaries are inappropriate. Please cool your tone or you might find yourself in a bit of hot water as well. --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 00:09, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Blocked as a sockpuppet You have been blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet of a banned or blocked user. Blocked or banned users are not allowed to edit Wikipedia; if you are banned, all edits under this account may be reverted. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal the block by adding the text{{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. |
