Olivenza?
[edit]Olivenza is a spanish municipality therefore it cannot be part of a portuguese district.Filipeacaeiro 15:57, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- The Portuguese state does not recognize the anexation of Olivença in the Spanish state. In official maps the border in that area is never drawn. Of course Olivença is de facto Spanish, and the Portuguese state does not push the issue. Still... it is officialy in the disctict of Évora. The world is a complex place... [edit]Well, welcome to Wikipedia. Put a watch on my user page and talk page. I'm also talking with Users FilipeS, Wildie, and Husond.

Where did you learn English? It seems like a lot of Portuguese-speaking people speak English as well.

Portuguese must be easier to learn than English. English is spelled so inconsistently that it sometimes confuses ME and I'm a native English speaker! What's difficult would you say about Portuguese? I think tensing verbs is difficult, and the fact that there are so many vowels to master.

Évora
[edit]I've never heard of Évora before. What is so significant that it has been made into a UNESCO World Heritage site? Sounds like a fantastic place to visit! How about the cities in Portugal I listed on my user page?

Évora
[edit]Évora sounds like a very interesting place to visit. What region in Portugal are you from?

architecture
[edit]Even though you aren't an expert in architecture, your small descriptions gave me a better grasp of understanding. It must be amazing to see! I hope you do get to go to Évora someday.

How would you say that you're very particular about pronouncing Portuguese? I'll need to know that so people don't think I'm trying to make fun of them.
learnportuguese 14:21, 28 September 2007 (UTC) One thing I find really hard to master in Portuguese is how to write the words why and because. I know they are almost the same. Is there a way I can remember to tell them apart?

different Portuguese dialects
[edit]You said in a message a while ago on my talk page that in your region the dialect sounds like people are singing. Cool. I've never heard such a description for a language. :-) What region in Portugal are you from? learnportuguese 22:57, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

college
[edit]Olá. College term starts January 10 and so I won't be on Wikipedia nearly as much. I thought I'd let you know. Just put my pages on your watchlist and you can start new discussions if you want. I think it's excellent what you have contributed so far! :-) User:Learnportuguese 04:41, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
