Notes
[edit]Hi! Here are my notes:
- Since the article is about Victorian England, the article should use the British spelling 'jewellery' instead of the American spelling. I've changed this for you.
- In the jewellery and status section, there are things that give off the impression that they are page numbers - this needs to be turned into an in-line citation.
- Do not shorten Victoria's name - I've fixed the ones I saw, but be careful of this and definitely go over the page again before moving any work live.
- The Queen Victoria and status portions are a little redundant to one another. I would also recommend merging the section on Queen Victoria in specific with the history section, making sure that the section and the status section don't essentially repeat the same information in slightly different ways.
- The cameo section is completely unsourced. It needs sourcing to back up the claims. The materials section is also greatly undersourced and there are other sections that also need to be more fully sourced.
- I would actually recommend creating a section for the different types of jewellery that were notable during this era. The cameo and hair jewellery portions could be in this section, for example.
- Make sure that you're only summarizing what is in the source material. Don't create new opinions or theories based on the sourcing.
- The section on Queen Victoria uses a book but doesn't specify the pages that are cited - these need to be in the sourcing.
There's still some work that needs to be done, but I think that this is a very good start. At this point it's mostly just fine tuning and making sure that everything meshes together. I've actually added in the content from the article so that you can all get a better idea of what this will look like once you're ready to move the work live.
