Advice on Getting Draft:Hinds (band) Accepted

[edit]

Congratulations, this is one of the best drafts about a band that I've read in Articles for Creation.

The Guardian, Metropoli, Paste and DIY are excellent sources. Use them as the basis for as much of the draft as possible. Try to eliminate, replace, or reduce the use of sources with less editorial oversight or that are less well known: Facebook, the band's website, Lucky Number, Mushroom Promotions, SOPH.tv, Jenesaispop, and The Line of Best Fit.

A shorter list of references with higher average quality will improve the chance of the draft being accepted. Worldbruce (talk) 16:30, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for the the feedback Worldbruce!

This is my first 'User talk' 'experience' so I hope I am using correctly. I will try to reduce the number of less relevant sources, although perhaps I will need some of them for some info about the band hard to find in the other sources, also because the band is from Spain some sources can be not very popular outside of Spain, but are well known in Spain, Jenesaispop is one of the biggest music sites in Spanish, anyway will do my best to follow your advice:) I also wonder if the name of the band in the article could be just 'Hinds', I added 'band' because there is already a page for 'Hinds', that mentions several articles, even 'Hinds' the band, but only 'Hinds' the band seems to be called 'Hinds'

Anyway, doesn´t matter to keep Hinds (band) to avoid confusion. Thanks again Fery1378 (talk) 17:35, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

One tip, on talk pages it's customary to indent one step from the previous post for clarity, something achieved by starting with one or more colons ":". Your additions of the El Periódico and second El Mundo article are great. So that reviewers can see that Jenesaispop is a notable publication among Spanish speakers, I added an interlanguage link to the reference. I also moved one paragraph into a new "Musical style" section and made some other minor changes. The draft has a good chance of being accepted as is. Don't worry about the draft title. It may be changed when the article is moved to mainspace. If not, it can always be changed later (moving the existing disambiguation page is a little tricky, but can be done), although Hinds (band) is also a good article title. Thanks a lot for the tip, edits and great help Worldbruce. I will try to keep improving the references to make them more relevant, although some specific info can be hard to find outside of Facebook or the less relevant sources.
