[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mellk. I noticed that you recently removed content from Kalbajar without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Mellk (talk) 22:25, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Kalbajar. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. HistoryofIran (talk) 01:47, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, you're not even allowed to edit the article per WP:GS/AA. HistoryofIran (talk) 01:48, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, an Iranian defending an Armenian to forge Wikipedia articles. That's funny as hell. Is there anyone outside of this gang with healthy mind to look at this madness? Fenasikerim10 (talk) 14:58, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am editing based on a reason. A childish mentality person reversing that. Labeling as edit war doesn't help. Whoever made this Wikipedia algorithms must be so dumb. Fenasikerim10 (talk) 15:00, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You might also want to read WP:ASPERSIONS, WP:NPA and WP:BATTLEGROUND. Please keep all those theories to yourself. If you continue, you will get reported. HistoryofIran (talk) 15:01, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Go report it now. This is ridiculous. This has become digital dictatorship. You are from Iran, obviously have anti-Azerbaijan sentiments. Why even you should be involved in this conversation. How about I go and put Azerbaijan I names of cities in Iran. I am sure you will try to stop me. But since
There is no common sense in this loose website, you are acting against removing a foreign name from Azerbaijani city. Fenasikerim10 (talk) 15:17, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Azerbaijan city doesn't need Armenian pronunciation

[edit]

Kalbajar is an Azerbaijani city and doesn't need the Armenian pronunciation in the page Fenasikerim10 (talk) 01:02, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss and get consensus for your change rather than continuing to restore your change. This may be considered edit warring. Mellk (talk) 19:25, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How about you get consensus for your illegitimate changes? Fenasikerim10 (talk) 21:57, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are changing long-standing content and clearly there is no one else supporting your changes, rather the opposite. It does not matter whether you think something is "legitimate" or "illegitimate". Mellk (talk) 08:50, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Mellk (talk) 08:50, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You are obviously not impartial about this subject. I would like other editors to be involved in the conversation. But you cannot add Armenian name in an Azerbaijani city. Otherwise, all Armenians cities have had significant Azerbaijani population before soviet collapse and it should be allowed to add Azerbaijani names there. Just remember, that battle is over and Kalbajar is in right hands now. You are nothing a disturbing noise. Wikipedia will need to adopt legal status of Azerbaijani cities sooner or later. So find yourself a better hobby. Fenasikerim10 (talk) 01:36, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. HistoryofIran (talk) 15:08, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, discuss it. I don't give a damn about this ..show here. People like you guys have turned Wikipedia to a propaganda book rather than a fact book . Fenasikerim10 (talk) 15:18, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for edit warring, as you did at Kalbajar.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 15:24, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
