Yes, but I figured that the page would be removed if the claim was found to be true. I had been correcting typos for a while and did not want them to go to waste, which I have explained on the talk page. I tried to search Google for excerpts of the text without luck. Where did you find the copyrighted text? --τις (talk) 11:46, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, so this applies to the first three paragraphs. I only tried excerpts from further down. Where did you find the rest of the text you removed? I still cannot find it on the web. --τις (talk) 11:54, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- shrug* I only read enough to realize that it was copyvio, removed the text which seemed to all be one "body" and tagged the article. An admin reviewed it and deleted the article. Feldspaar (talk) 11:57, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for noticing the copyright infringement, that I failed to detect! I added this information to the article discussion page, along with the original source according to the recommendations in Wikipedia:Copyvio#Dealing with copyright violations. Which article was removed? You are still the last editor of Valluvan Kadav Sree Muthapan. Please post any response on my talk page. --τις (talk) 12:11, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Weird, it seemed to have vanished for a minute there. No idea why. (: Feldspaar (talk) 12:12, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, that is weird. One possibility would of course be if you accidentally visited Talk:Valluvan Kadav Sree Muthapan/Temp instead of Valluvan Kadav Sree Muthapan. As there are no subpages to the article, it would appear to have vanished. (You did realize that I posted my updated version on a subpage to the talk page when you wrote "It came back!", right?) Again, please post any response on my talk page. This is the only way for me to receive the "You have new messages" message. Keep up the good work! --τις (talk) 12:45, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- I totally understand, and I still think it was good of you to spot the copyright infringement. I did the first edit myself less than a month ago, and I hope that I have not in any way discouraged you from contributing!

- I was considering the same thing myself, about posting another version of the article, free of any copyright text and with the typo corrections, but the question is quite complicated. Firstly, I believe that a rewrite should try to fix the original problem by writing a new text using the source as a reference. I do not have the time to study the story enough to write something meaningful, and just removing the three paragraphs would not be very helpful to the reader. Secondly, you might have noticed that the majority of the article consisted of the subsection "Story of muthappan", which could probably be merged with the Muthappan article. --τις (talk) 13:29, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
