- Yes, I formerly had a fantasy name which was an inflammatory name in the eye of a WikiAdmin. So I hope this name must be ok. --Feldmarschall von Hansen 17:31, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- And thank you for the welcome message! --Feldmarschall von Hansen 17:32, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

German naval history museum in Hamburg
[edit]Hello, I am not quite sure if you (Feldmarschall von Hansen) are in fact Gerhard Abbels or not, but if you are, I'd certainly be very interested in hearing a lot more about what your findings were in the German naval history museum you visited in Hamburg. You are the first person to actually bring us some conclusive evidence to the St. Paul gold mistery, so you are probably the most knowledgeable person about this topic. Do you think there is any chance of you being able to procure some scans of Bernhard Rogge's log-books or his radio transmission log-books at least? I guess it might be difficult to scan pages of such important historical papers and having the permission to do so would probably be very time-consuming for you to obtain, so I'd also appreciate it very much if you actually just wrote us stating as much as you can remember from the papers you saw, and if possible, maybe even copy them on a notebook to share with the Wikipedia community (in case you're still in Hamburg)
In case you are NOT Gerhard Abbels (judging from your surname, you probably aren't) I'd be interested in knowing how you found out about Gerhard's diploma work and his findings. Do you know him personally? In that case it would be good if you could put us in contact (my e-mail: bubblegumrecords@hotmail.com or write me here directly -Neoncitylights-) so I could ask him directly without having to waste your time.
I know this may sound like "Indiana Jones & the Search for the Nazi Gold" or something :) But don't worry, besides the French government not allowing any excavations there, I wouldn't have the time and most importantly the resources to go to St. Paul, one of the most remote islands in the world. It's just a case of natural curiosity, I'm a sucker for historical misteries :)
