User talk:Fcu001
This user is a student editor in Wikipedia:Wiki_Ed/University_of_Maryland/INST201-0101_Introduction_to_Information_Science_(FALL_2017). Student assignments should always be carried out using a course page set up by the instructor. It is usually best to develop assignments in your sandbox. After evaluation, the additions may go on to become a Wikipedia article or be published in an existing article. |
What on earth are you doing?
[edit]You are blanking entire talk page discussions and replacing them with some sort of wiki-educational template. I presume it is from ignorance and not from malice, but please stop whatever this automated thing is before you get blocked. ValarianB (talk) 15:10, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, stop deleting everything that was previously on the talk page. Binksternet (talk) 15:11, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- The edits are tagged with dashboard.wikiedu.org [2.0], so it could potentially be a problem with that. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 15:18, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- Oh wow! I'm pinging Sage (Wiki Ed) so he can look at this! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:53, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- I've alerted Sage to this in case it's Dashboard related. I've not seen this before and as far as I can tell it looks like it's limited to just this user. Offhand I think that this is not something deliberately done.
- In case this is something that the editor is doing, Fcu001, when placing templates you should only place it under the WikiProject templates, above the messages - you shouldn't erase the content. If this is something that you're doing via Dashboard, please let us know what you're doing so we can fix whatever is going on. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:01, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what went wrong here with the dashboard, but I've disabled these edits until I get it sorted out.--Sage (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:19, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
