⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Wydad Casablanca (logo).png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

African Minifootball Cup moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, African Minifootball Cup, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hecseur (talk) 03:06, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:African Minifootball Cup requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! I don't understand why I was blocked, I warrent a user JJMC89 because there is a bot who remove continualy a file created by me in my draft page, but also in wiki page. Hope that this problem will be resolved. Greatings

To PhilKnight and Tknifton, I added a file File:2018 AMC (logo).png in my draft page, in African Minifootball Federation page and in Draft:African Minifootball Cup page. What's mistake I do ? I contribute since 2009 and I was never be blocked because I always contribute correctly. If I maked mistake they can explain me without blocking me. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 20:59, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Non-free files like File:2018 AMC (logo).png must not be added to non-article pages such as drafts. When the bot fixed the mistake for you, you reverted it accusing it of vandalism. PhilKnight (talk) 21:06, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
To PhilKnight, If you mean a Draft:African Minifootball Cup page, as I know, we can modifie this page. If we can't do so sorry for that. But I don't understand why the bot remove the file from the African Minifootball Federation page ? I warrent the admin JJMC89 for that. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 21:14, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The bot explained in its edit summary [1] that the file didn't have a valid non-free rationale. Instead of reverting, if you didn't understand what the bot was doing, you should have asked for help. PhilKnight (talk) 21:26, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Because this I asked the admin JJMC89 in his talk page. To PhilKnight, I'm sorry to disturb you because this problem, and I'm sorry to JJMC89, maybe I must not revert and said "vandalism", my intention is always to create good and credible articles. You are admins and you judge what's good for wikipedia. Best regards --Fayçal.09 (talk) 21:42, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Problem caused by restoring a file corrected by a bot "repeatedly" and it was my error for the first time. I have always created "credible" files and put them in articles. I contribute since 2009 and I have experience on the use of files, I understand the laws on Wikipedia:Non-free content. I had never seen a problem like this since I contributed to Wikipedia. I hope in the future administrators will have the ability to explain and even warn users before blocking them, as there is sometimes a misunderstanding between them. In my modest experience on Wikipedia, I know that both administrators and users use Wikipedia for noble reasons. We need to form a strong community that works in harmony and trust. Thanks for reading me Fayçal.09 (talk) 23:28, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

As well as harmony and trust, we also need contributors who understand the legal ramifications of using non-free content. Since you still have not demonstrated any understanding of this (claiming you understand the rule is not the same as showing that you understand them), there is no guarantee that you will not continue to violate Wikipedia's policies if unblocked, potentially jeopardising the project. Request reason:

I unintentionally violated Wikipedia rules by adding a file in draft page and reverting a bot's fixe. My apologies for this act. It's normal that I will not repeat this mistake and I will respect the laws of Wikipedia:Non-free content, as always. We are in Wikipedia to serve it and to contribute for good and credible articles only. My apologies again for my act and I thank all those who advised me well. Best regards. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 22:05, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There appears to be a consensus for unblock below, including the blocking admin. I must not put files in draft pages, and if a bot fixes any file, I must contact adminn not revert acts of bot. That's the two mistakes that I acted, sorry for that. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 09:09, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What about the laws of Wikipedia:Non-free content, As I always do, we must respect the content by favorising the free content post and good use of non-free content, respecting criteria of fair use.
To edit files we must respect the ten criterias used in Policy chapter, about no free equivalent, respect for commercial opportunities, minimal usage ...etc.
And of caurse I understand files that should be kept or deleted as it's explained in Enforcement chapter.
And what about posting or creating files, we must add appropriate license and we must add link to proove only if I'm a creator of the file and we must explain what about file in Description. All this is explained in Guideline examples chapter. Thank you. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 10:15, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nehme1499, no sorry I don't have yet. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 17:53, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've also noticed that you have the full squad list for Lebanon in the 1963 Arab Nations Cup squads. Can you please send me the source? There are a couple of interesting players I want to investigate (Muhieddine "Tabello" Itani, who was the 1968–69 Lebanese Premier League top scorer, and Yéghiché, who is very likely to be Yeghishe Darian, who played in Lebanon's first international match in 1940). Nehme1499 (talk) 21:52, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nehme1499, I used this website [2]. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 23:29, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know exactly which page? Nehme1499 (talk) 00:44, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nehme1499, For exemple, for Muhieddine Itani, the link is [3] --Fayçal.09 (talk) 12:09, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I had noticed that page (I created Muhieddine Itani yesterday ahaha). But you have all 21 players, where did you find Yéghiché, or Ohannès Housmayan, or that Elias Georges Kharma was a defender who played for Racing? All in individual pages like Itani, or in a single page? Because you also have their specific numbers (1 to 21). Nehme1499 (talk) 12:24, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nehme1499, ok I understand, I did a lot of research and found some sites, among them the one [4]. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 13:38, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks. Next time, can you please add the source next to the manager's name (like I now displayed)? This way I can cross-reference, and check the names. Nehme1499 (talk) 18:05, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chelsea striker Bethany England scoring the winning goal in the team's 2-1 win against Arsenal at the 2019–20 FA Women's League Cup, February 29, 2020.

Hello WOSO editors!

What a year to be alive. As usual (but perhaps even moreso since there have been unexpected quarantines), there has been a lot of activity on player, team, league and tournament-related Wikipedia articles with all of the worldwide coverage of women's football / soccer. Great work!

Fall Focus: FA WSL articles

You may have noticed lots of great things going on for the top English league this year: the FA WSL. More (international!) broadcasts, top international player signings, improved media coverage, and increased viewership. Let's keep the momentum brewing, shall we?

Here's a sampling of articles that could use creation, expansion or updating. What will you commit to working on?

Historical Topics
Managers
Teams
Players
Other

See also Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Women's football task force/Initiatives/FA WSL to collaborate and organize with other editors.

Every little bit helps! Thanks for your contributions!

Did you know...

WP:GNG takes precedence over WP:NFOOTY (which only includes the players in two currently active women's leagues)? Often times there is enough media coverage that meets WP:GNG or other notability guidelines. For more information, see WP:WOSO#Notability and be sure to tag the new article talk page with: {{WP Women's sport|footy=yes}}

Algeria vs Qatar in 2018 is an official full FIFA international friendly not a local A' match. Algeria played with 2 foreign based players (Youcef Belaili and Baghdad Bounedjah so it can't be considered an A' match anyways). Please stop changing it! TonyStarks (talk) 16:39, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • ANd here is Confirmation from the Algerian FA: "En effet, dans un courrier adressé par la Fédération qatarie de football (QFA) à son homologue algérienne de football (FAF) daté du 18 décembre 2018, il est très clairement mentionné que la rencontre Qatar – Algérie du 27 décembre 2018 au Khalifa International Stadiumde Doha est retenue par la FIFA comme match amical international entre les sélections A des deux pays." http://www.faf.dz/equipe-nationale-cest-bien-20-matchs-sans-defaite/ TonyStarks (talk) 16:45, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • To TonyStarks, First, Salam (or Hi); The FAF is an organization which is supposed to be credible since it represents the high authority of football in Algeria. But many legal and administrative errors were made by the federation (just an exemple), this is one and fifa sure don't recognized this match.
About the match, Algeria played against Qatar on 2018 with the local (A') sure with exception of Bounedjah & Belaïli who are not players of A' team (link 1, link 2, link 3 link 4). Because this the match is not recognized with fifa. That's still my opinion and i don't want to go into an editing war with you my friend. We just need to make sure and the future will tell. Regards. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 17:42, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If there's 2 players who are not local players, then it's impossible for it be an A' match. Not a question of opinion, it's a fact. Plus we have confirmation from FA so whether you agree or not does not change this fact. TonyStarks (talk) 20:18, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
TonyStarks, On first salam (or Hi), Yes that's right that it's the FA who gives this information, however other sources said no. I gives my opinion because the fact to, not because it's my personal thinking, I gives you many links to proove that. Regards. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 20:52, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And finally, this article from the Algeria Press Service posted today, but let me guess your opinion is that you don't agree: http://www.aps.dz/sport/112762-foot-classement-historique-des-buteurs-bounedjah-integre-le-top-10 TonyStarks (talk) 22:14, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Islam Slimani shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:30, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
