Very clearly you have some blatantly erroneous conceptions of Citizendium, but you'll probably be much more comfortable at WP. Stephen Ewen (talk) 21:10, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Care to elaborate? --FastLizard4 (TalkLinksSign) 02:25, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Email me your CZ username. My actual and only point in asking that is to say that knowledge really only comes through experience. Stephen Ewen (talk) 07:57, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll Elaborate

[edit]
  • "Second, after you have logged in to edit, the article must be "approved" by someone on the subject. You know, in the Soviet Union, they had government censors review every piece of public writing and "approve" it for release only if it didn't place the government in a bad light!"

This point is completely off-base... edits themselves are not approved, articles are "worked up" to a state where they are ready for approval, and then that article becomes "version 1.0." Later edits can be incorporated into another article after later approval (version 1.1 if you will). Nowhere is there censorship... comparing this process to Soviet-style censorship is lunacy at best... the entire article is always available for public consumption during this entire process, it's just that when "version 1.0" of the article is approved it's "locked" (you know, like a ton of WP articles are) and work continues on the v.1.1 article

  • "Third, another privacy grievance I have is that you must write an autobiography to prove what you know. Right, like I am going to have a list of publications to prove my identity, and will be willing to give out that information. As a teenager, the only "public works" I have to back my identity is my social security number. Like I'm going to give that out to a group of sysops that call themselves "constables." And the "constables" thing is another point that makes CZ look more like a communism."

This point is also misleading... to become an author on Citizendium you don't need to have an autobiography... *gasp* I don't even have a college degree and I edit on CZ all the time.
