I'm not disputing that Necmettin Şahiner's book is a reliable source, but he does not state that the Bediüzzaman was an Arab. He only writes that Said Nursî claimed to be descended from both parents' sides from Muhammad. Being a descendant of Arabs does not automatically make one also an Arab. Ethnicity is not genetically determined, and Arabs are not a species on their own. We can only label people as having a certain ethnicity if they are explicitly described as such by a source we can cite. Inserting such conclusions you draw yourself to forward a position is considered original research and violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. In the meantime, please do not the remove reliably sourced statement that he was a Kurd (as you have done now three times) just because you don't agree with the statement: the criterion for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth, and your editing can be interpreted as violating Wikipedia's neutral-point-of-view policy.  --Lambiam 02:29, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
