Bot incidence
Your recent edit to Gorillaz (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Click here for frequently asked questions about the bot and this warning. // MartinBot 00:54, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Did the bot actually reversed vandalism? I thought somebody was trying to do mass deletion. I had been trying to do some amateur RC patrolling. Ermm I am so confused. Fufu Fang 01:12, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- I think you should read over the welcome message in order to be familiar with policy before performing RC patrol. Real96 01:14, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
I wanted to know if you (or any friends of yours) are interested in dermatology, and would be willing to help me with the WikiProject Medicine/Dermatology task force? Kilbad (talk) 03:00, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 22:27, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

How do I tag copyright violation articles?
{{helpme}} Do I have to a CSD G12 every time or is there any alternative? I personally think copyright violation needs oversight type of deletion, otherwise the copyrighted material will still be in the database. So currently I do CSD G12 everytime I see it. Fangfufu (talk) 14:04, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- Even oversighted data is technically still in the database, and yes, CSD G12 is the best method of going about tagging them. — neuro(talk) 14:09, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Rather than voting, you might consider withdrawing the nomination since you prefer for a redirect rather than outright deletion. The closing admin would close the discussion and redirect the article to Photoreceptor_cell#Dark_current.--Lenticel (talk) 05:36, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- How do I do that? Fangfufu (talk) 05:39, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Just post there that you withdraw the nomination. I'll do the rest.--Lenticel (talk) 05:56, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Summation (Neurophysiology), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Temporal summation. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 05:47, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
IPBE application
Hi, I want to edit Wikipedia from my school. The whole school is using a proxy. I don't think unblocking the IP address is a good idea, that would lead to vandalism. Is it possible to grant me IPBE right?

135 Express
This is a post concerning the proposed deletion of the 135 Express. This bus line is obviously significant, if a B-Line bus is going to be replacing this bus. Because the B-Line buses are significant, as in the cases of the 99 B-Line, the 98 B-Line and the 97 B-Line, this bus should also be significant because it is popular enough to have a B-Line replace this express in 2009, which is very soon. Therefore, this article about the bus should be kept.
Note that not all Vancouver buses are included in Wikipedia, only the Express Lines and the B-Lines. JoshuaKuo (talk) 00:15, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Yes, the two tags on the page will be very helpful indeed. JoshuaKuo (talk) 01:04, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Kinlock Shelter Article
I apologize for my failure to sign my posts, I was distracted. I normally sign all of my posts, or at least try to. As for the Kinlock Shelter article, I have noted my disagreement with two actions you have carried out with regards to the article. First, I disagreed with your suggestion that the article should be deleted, for the following reason:
- The location has intrinsic cultural significance. It is mentioned or featured in several publications, has been featured in a television program on Alabama Public Television, and is well known to frequent visitors of Bankhead National Forest and Sipsey Wilderness, and the local native-american population. I will concede that the article could use some improvement, and I will carry out such improvement, but it is not worthy of deletion.
Second, I disagreed with your addition of the lacks citation tag to the article, because the article cites the Manasco source. The Manasco source is the source for all the material in the article, however the information is also availible from other sources. I've added additional sources, but I disagree with the original claim that the article failed to cite sources. I agree with the cleanup tag, and I am currently working on a draft update to the article. Jo7hs2 (talk) 17:49, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for adding that additional source. I'm trying to obtain a good photograph from local sources. Jo7hs2 (talk) 19:02, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- Also thanks for adding the note about the alcohol/camping ban. Jo7hs2 (talk) 19:21, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
About the Ulchee and recent edits of Kinlock Shelter I strongly disagreed with your editing, so I undid it, but repaired your CCC wikilink afterwards. Specifically, you indicated that the Ulchee information was unverifiable, however it is in the Manasco source which is sitting in front of my face, so it isn't unverifiable. I have not been able to turn up much on the Ulchee, but Terra Manasco, who wrote the intro to her father's book Walking Sipsey, is a local expert on Native Americans, so they most assuredly existed. I also disagreed with the stylistic editing you made, specifically "one of the place where" vs "home of a" and "Patterns were drawn" vs "The shelter was first used by the Ulchee who used the site and the patterns drawn in the rock", as my original wording is more accurate. I will work to improve the grammar on it, but the original wording more closely follows the way the use of the site has been described in other sources. I also removed the redlinked link to the Ulchee. I'm glad you are still interested in the article. Jo7hs2 (talk) 00:10, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
TYPO IT IS UCHEE!!! I goofed. It is a typo, the tribe is the UCHEE (Yuchi), not ULCHEE. The tribe name is spelled multiple ways. Also see http://www.indigenouspeople.net/yuchi.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jo7hs2 (talk • contribs)
A possible copyright violation for an image
{{helpme}} File:Worldwide regulatory.gif The image above is copied from http://www.wimedia.org/en/resources/worldwide_regulatory.asp I think it is currently wrongly licensed. What should I do? Fangfufu (talk) 20:57, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
You may want to contact the person who uploaded the file: commons:User:Amigasteve. Or, you could consider the various licenses available for use and pick one, or nominate it for deletion if you believe the file is not a free file. - Jameson L.
