Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Qumana Blog Editor, by Loadmaster (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Qumana Blog Editor is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Qumana Blog Editor, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 17:29, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AxCrypt

[edit]

Hi, I removed the AxCrypt entry from Comparison of disk encryption software because it doesn't appear to be transparent disk encryption software — but simply an encrypted archive format. Correct me if I'm wrong. -- intgr [talk] 17:57, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: John Mackey

[edit]

You're right... it wasn't the best-placed humour I've ever witnessed! Don't worry about it, just try and keep WP:CIVIL in mind in the future. All the best. haz (talk) 22:31, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on SuperAntiSpyware, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 21:52, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note and for asking me to look at the SuperAntiSpyware article in your sandbox. The only reference that I would use, or consider as a reliable source, is the final one; the rest just don't seem to qualify, either because they are generated by the company itself or because forum posts are not from recognized experts. And, frankly, I can't see any reason to have an article about this specific program. It might possibly be appropriate as a mention in an article about anti-spyware software (I haven't traced a link for what that might be, but I'm fairly sure there would be one) but, by and large, we don't have articles about specific commercial products on Wikipedia unless they are VERY well known and have lots and lots of independent references -- like Kleenex, for example. I would expect that someone would try to delete this article either as spam or as being non-notable and I can't think of a reason to stop them, based on what I've read (although you've done a good job of writing it up; I just don't see any notability). And, believe it or not, I say this even though I use the program myself. I hope this helps, and thanks for asking me. Accounting4Taste:talk 22:20, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, I see you're working on this in your sandbox which is a good idea. I've removed the {{Hangon}} tag because having this on a page adds it to the category of pages subject to speedy deletion. This brings administrators to come looking, which they don't need to do because you can experiment in your user pages as much as you like! Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 22:30, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to User:Kim Dent-Brown, and my apologies for overlooking this. The article I was referring to above is called Spyware and contains a section on anti-spyware programs where this could usefully be listed. Accounting4Taste:talk 22:32, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. I guess if/when the program becomes notable I'll someone will hopefully copy my article, long after I've forgotten about it. Family Guy Guy (talk) 07:24, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This article is less than what my article had. It needs to be deleted by your criterion. Family Guy Guy (talk) 06:52, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I've proposed here merging this article into List of video game console emulators. Because you created it, I thought you might be interesting in giving your opinion on this. Thanks in advance for your input.  :) Lychosis T/C 12:20, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I noticed that you attempted to file a deletion discussion (on the article The Blues Brothers (film series)) but did not complete the process. Please note that, when listing an article for deletion, a discussion page needs to be made for other users to discuss whether to keep or delete the article. This is typically done by following the steps listed here. Note that if you are editing as an unregistered user, you cannot create a discussion page. Please consider registering an account or asking another user to help you complete the process at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion. Thank you. Pussy power listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Pussy power. Since you had some involvement with the Pussy power redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Mr. Guye (talk) 00:45, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
