nice comment on popular culture. I encourage you to use it at appropriate afds. Just the appropriate ones, of course, for the really defensible articles. If you're new here, look around a little first to see the style of discussion. DGG (talk) 01:27, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
James Russell Lowell
[edit]I was a little confused by your recent edit to James Russell Lowell. Though I don't doubt what you added was true (I may ask if it's really that relevant), I was mostly unsure of the reference. You wrote: The poem was also the basis for the hymn "Once to Every Man and Nation." <ref>''Protest & Praise: Sacred Music of Black Religion'', by John Michael Spencer, at 74 </ref> Is this a book? Is 74 the page number? Is there a publisher? ISBN number? Let me know if I can help. --Midnightdreary (talk) 02:55, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for clarifying your point. I should note my quick reaction to your edit: Lowell's article is one of the few that have achieved featured status. If you're unsure of proper footnoting, take a moment to ask before adding a partial footnote that can, essentially, undermine the quality/integrity of the article's featured status. The good news is that the article is already sourced very well, which means you can (and must) emulate that format. All the best, --Midnightdreary (talk) 05:10, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- Still needs city where it was published. --Midnightdreary (talk) 05:15, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
