The problem here is that you are simply in the wrong place for this. It looks like the Deletion review group got tired of the debate being recreated every day, so now its being moved to page for protection instead. The request for protection page is for requesting protection and unprotection. But. Articles protected from recreation is a unique case. They really need to be taken in front of deletion review not on RfP. I am going to remove the request from RfP because it has been rejected and since it sat there all day, my 2 admin collegues who also do unprotections looked at it and didn't overrule me. So it's a closed issue. Thanks. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 07:31, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved your question from the project page to the talk page, Wikipedia talk:Deletion review, which is the usual place for discussion. Best, FreplySpang (talk) 15:22, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

custom stub

[edit]

please dont use this sort of stub template. use one of the ones already created or just stub. BL kiss the lizard 05:05, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. you wrote: I would like context for your actions in this case, please? I posted about the template on WP:WSS/P and have not actually gotten any comment on my points made on why such a stub is a good thing. How is it preferable for instance to pidgeon hole an article that is clearly on both education and government into one category or the other with a stub. {{Education-stub}} which you applied to Intermediate Unit being a very good example as these function as Intermediate Unit's provide a government superstructure to the educational system and provide many services beyond what one would consider normal educational functions. There is no Goverment and Education stub and its doubtful it would be useful to create a stub for that limited of a topic matter. However its certainly better to provide context what the stub is about then just supply the uninformative: This is a Stub you can help Wikipedia by expanding it. Particularly if other proposals such as making {{stub}} deprecated occur.
have a look at the comments about the stub at WP:SFD. the idea of makeing a stub type that can be altered to any type of stub has been suggested before several times but noone liked it because no matter how they were used they didnt work and made it far harder to find out what stubs go where. your custom stub put the stub into Category:Stubs where the only people who would ever find it are stub sorters. i added a different template that put it into Category:Education stubs where editors knowing about education subjects could find it. i could also have added a {{gov-stub}} to add it to Category:Government stubs but education stubs covers governmental agencies dealing with education matters as well, so there was little point. thanks for being so understanding about it! :) if youre interested in stubsorting, then the first place to look at is WP:WSS. theres always a lot still to be sorted and new stubs are written all the time. the box on the top right of the page links to the stub type list and also a 'to do" list. unfortunately there are a lot of different types of template and it takes a while to get used to them but even if you just move things from a big catagory to a smaller one it helps. other than that, wacthing the proposals and discoveries pages will give you an idea of what goes on in the project. i look forward to seeing your name there! :) BL kiss the lizard 14:31, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to contribute my $0.02 to User:Falerin/Leeroy Jenkins. — FREAK OF NURxTURE (TALK) 20:33, Dec. 15, 2005

Oh yes. I didn't realize that was your intended draft copy of the article. My bad. Copy the inner section of code from User:Freakofnurture/Leeroy if you like. — FREAK OF NURxTURE (TALK) 20:53, Dec. 15, 2005
I'm not saying the movie should have a date, surely the website which claims the report can be dated, right? - Mgm|(talk) 14:38, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
"As of December 2005" will do. I just wanted to make sure the million downloads claim wasn't going to age too quickly. - Mgm|(talk) 20:10, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
