Thanks for trying to fix the move vandalism to this page. Unfortunately, using cut&paste to fix this results in the loss of the article's History, which is required for GFDL purposes. It is possible to undo a move as long as the pages are not subsequently edited. I believe the option for this is in the logs for the page. An admin will look after fixing this. Oops, sorry. I wasn't sure how to fix it and it seemed important. I tried to find a 'button' (for lack of a better term) to fix it, but the undo link was missing. Is there a list of shortcuts or guides for editing somewhere? Falard 18:13, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! You were trying to fix someone's vandalism. It's not always obvious what the correct action is. You can look at Wikipedia:Cleaning_up_vandalism, which seems to be out of date, but there are links that are useful. For page move vandalism, look at WP:MOVE#Undoing_a_move. Umm.... otherwise, just watch what others do. The important thing is that if you do find and revert vandalism, please warn the user appropriately. A list of usertalk warnings are here. Note that most warning templates must be substituted. E.g. {{uw-delete2}} should be used as {{subst:uw-delete2}}. Also, many of the tmeplates have shortcuts, such as {{subst:uw-d2}} for delete2, and {{subst:uw-v3}} for vandalism3. Feel free to leave more questions on my talk page. Punctuation changes

[edit]

Falard, your recent edits to Alton Brown, Good Eats and Iron Chef America included punctuation changes that are incorrect per the Wikipedia Manual of Style. Unlike typical American usage, unless part of the quoted material (title, quote, etc), punctuation marks are placed outside the quotation mark. See WP:PUNC and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (titles)#Punctuation. Thanks, AUTiger » talk 18:30, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
