New here and need help
[edit]G'day, new here and need help in all things Wiki. Is there anyone in the northern suburbs I can spend some time with to help me get started on articles, images etc. Most of the stuff I read doesn't make any sense. Would prefer if someone could show me one to one and not over the net. Available most days for tuition. Can you please put the reply on my page if it doesn't happen already. Thanks, Fairv8 Fairv8 (talk) 06:30, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board is a good place to meet other Australian editors; often the dozen or so active Adelaide editors can be found there. I, and others, could help you over the net but you'd need to post on the notice board to find someone in the Northern Suburbs who can meet offline. It's great to see another Adelaide editor coming here; it annoys me sometimes that I haven't spent the time to write decent articles about Elizabeth, the Little Para River, the Old Spot, Centrals and people like John Harvey (founder of Salisbury). What things are you interested in writing about ? - Peripitus (Talk) 11:27, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hi FairV8. I'm afraid I have become pretty close to an ex-Wikipedian. I'm not sure whether it was that Wikipedia changed as it became more mature, or that my life circumstances changed, but I seem not to contribute very often any more. You can email me if you like (link on the left of my user page) to let me know what part of the northern suburbs you are in. Cheers. --Scott Davis Talk 03:21, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
