Re: Ness Ziona
[edit]Actually most of those edits were not an issue of not previewing, but I actually thought of new things to do on the fly, after saving (I think fast :)). Unfortunately, some were indeed results of sloppy editing. I sometimes do that, when trying to get a lot done quickly. I don't think it's a major issue, but I'm definitely trying to review my own edits more often before saving. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 08:46, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- I wrote the article in Czech about Ness Ziona and I watch it carefully cause my friend lives there. So thanks for new information which could be incorporate into the Czech one :-) --Faigl.ladislav (talk) 09:27, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Life48.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Life48.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. feydey (talk) 15:59, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Lean Back
[edit]On our en.wikipedia website Lean Back, there is an information that something is wrong and correct with your standards. Would you please help us, and correct if possible. Best regards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marfus (talk • contribs) 07:53, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, it's Lean Back (band) <- this article. It is crosswiki spam and it's notability is disputed. I don't know properly the processes here on en.wikipedia when someone disputes notability of article, thus I used the templated {notability}. As I saw, notability of the subject of the article isn't disputed only on my home project (cs.wikipedia) but also on other wikipedias. If there are relevant references of the notability, then they should be put into the article.--Faigl.ladislav (talk) 13:07, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for answer. Notability is a strong word. Are you notable to decide? Only on cs wikipedia there were unpleasant doubts. If a band had two records officially published in Poland, tv and radio live and studio concerts, there is enough, isn’t it?. Of course not to be notable all over the world, but locally it is, to foreign information as well. Wikipedia as a free world encyclopedia should combine also those of minor notability. Next week there will be links from youtube with our history. Regards. Marfus (talk) 18:36, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- Funny respond :) It's irrelevant if I am notable to decide. Wikipedia's guidelines decide. And it's not only cs.wikipedia who disputes notability of this Polish band - Hebrew wikipedia disputed it as well. It doesn't matter if subject of article is notable only locally, but there must be reliable sources that proves significance (sorry, but youtube is NOT reliable source). --Faigl.ladislav (talk) 18:49, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Dear sir, you can find just aported three link - youtube compilations. We wrote to hebrew dissutant - in English of course, and have still no ansswer. If two officially published records and radio and tv registration are not enough, I have doubts in wikipedia real free intentions to combine the world. Regards from Unitd Europe. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marfus (talk • contribs) 08:17, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
No, it's really not enough. Read this: Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Criteria for musicians and ensembles. --Faigl.ladislav (talk) 19:53, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Lean Back (band):
- there are two Lean Back (band) records officially/legally published in Poland
- took officially part in important concerts, registered and emitted by TV and Radio broadcasts
- was disbanded in 2000; didn’t have internet link archives from 90. XX c.
- has 3 links in a form of officially compiled YouTube films (Lean Back 1985-2000/I/II/III), which confirm it’s 1985-2000 activity – from amateur to professional band. Member of the band didn’t waive copyright laws to tv and radio recordings, so have rights in free using their copies, especially in world well-known YouTube films internet tool
- there are several internet independent references/links that confirm band notability (just added)
- please, apply such severe rules to all wikipedia articles, not only new one.
- articles in wikipedia in different languages will commemorate the band history, what is in accordance with wikipedia mission.

שלום לאדיסלב
[edit](or how to write "Ladislav" correctly?). I have the following small remark, concerning Czech wikipedia:
(Of course, the information about palestinian refugees you deleted was nonsense, thanks for that.)
Best regards! Peter Franp9am (talk) 10:32, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
- Shalom :) I'm glad you didn't leave us at all. It's לדיסלב. Oh, I've miscalculated the numbers of the citizens. Thanks :) I hope that you'll come back soon. Best regards --Faigl.ladislav (talk) 10:53, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

Czech help needed
[edit]Hello Faigl.ladislav, I'm contacting you because we need some Czech translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on cs.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Czech Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:55, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
